    My father, who passed away in February 2022, used ************************* Income *** services. As a result, we returned to her to ensure my parents taxes were filed accurately, due my mother now being a widow and he always used her services. We provided her with all the documentation that was sent for ************ business, interest paid on the house, etc. She assured us she knew exactly what to do and would handle everything as she usually would when he was here. Months went by and we heard nothing back. I continued to call and she would literally never call us back. I was finally able to reach her in September of 2022. I asked if she had filed for an extension, she said she had. She also explained that she had been dealing with some personal issues, but she would update us within the next week. It is not January 6, 2023 and we have heard nothing from *********************. I have called and left messages, my mother has sent texts, and she does not respond. We literally told her (left a message) to just give us the paperwork back so we can proceed on our own, she will not respond. My father is dead, so we don't know exactly where to start to obtain duplicates. I cannot believe she would take this approach knowing my father died and my mother needs to have this business taken care of. My mother should not even have to have this over her head while still trying to adjust to her life without my dad. Please assist us in holding ********************* responsible. We need that paperwork back to prevent my mother from dealing with an even larger tax bill due to late penalties and fees. It's like ********************* could care less about his death or the result of late taxes. Please help. This is highly unprofessional.

    Good morning:

      *************** to the complaint regarding, Complaint ID: ********. My client and his wife have been with me for over 10 years and has never had a problem.  My client the husband was the primary person I always dealt with who became sick.  I called and checked on him and encouraged him throughout his illness.  Then I met the wife, she informed me after his passing, I supported them and different ways.  I received this card from her after the funeral. (copy attached).  Then we started working on the paperwork for their taxes.  She had to look for documents to complete the taxes, she left for a while.  More can be said, but at the end of the year I was out of the country and couldn't responded to her and her daughter, the day I returned to my office, and was ready to complete the return is the day she sent in this complaint.  I have completed and she has returned her tax papers. Which did not have a problem doing, also I did not charge them anything for processing their request.

    I am sorry that this had to happen, but I have completed what I was supposed to do.
