    Business Response

    Date: 11/16/2024

I've attached a PDF. of the manufacture's warranty information, in regards to the tow fee the customer complaint.  The customer could not provide us with any receipt, when he came in to warranty out his remanufactured starter.  He was upset because he claimed he had purchased a new starter, but did not provide any invoice. I was the employee that assist him the day he was charged $75.00 ( truly charged $77.44). He did not even provided a invoice for his actual purchase of the remanufactured starter or new, he wanted to upgrade the starter to a new starter. He claimed he had already purchased a new starter, and that I should not be charging him for the upgrade. I went above and beyond for this customer who walked in without any proof of purchase. I explained to him three times, he had never purchased a new starter. He has warrantied out the remanufactured starter three times since 2021.  The application of the vehicle is a 1995 Chevrolet s10 4.3, there are so many thing's that could actual be causing the starter to go out.  Even a oil leak can leak down onto the electrical part of a starter and cause it to short out, that is actual not covered under warranty. In good faith we have helped this customer, by warranty out a product that probably wasn't the starter's fault.  If he could provide a receipt of his original purchase of the new starter, other than then receipt from 11/05/2024. We would credit him the $77.44 difference that was charged for the upgrade.
