      Carpet is coming apart after less than 2 months. they offered to replace carpet but not insatllation. I feel that i shouldn't have to pay for any additional chjarges. Plus i do not want the same carpet that is coming apart.

      We are actively trying to assist this consumer and have had contact with him today.

      * We have not at this point been able to identify a manufacturing defect in this carpet.

      * This consumer purchased materials only, and our company did not charge for or contract for the labor portion.

      * Our offer of replacement of the carpet, with the same material, or same priced material, is made as an accommodation to assist in the resolution of this matter.

      * The consumer is aware and agrees that should he choose a more expensive carpet he would need to pay the difference.

      * The sub-contract third party installer who performed the installation has indicated the willingness to make repairs to attempt resolution with the current carpet in the home, the subcontractor states that he has not been called by the consumer and asked to return to perform any repairs at this point. 

      * It is possible with communication and discussion that the subcontractor would be willing to assist with the replacement at a reduced rate, or even no charge, but that is not within our company's control to dictate. 

      * Our company has been in business for 100 years; we pride ourselves on excellent customer service and doing what is right and fair in every circumstance. We firmly believe that providing new carpet at no charge to this consumer in this circumstance is very fair, and our position on not providing or paying for labor is very firm.

      We will stay involved; we will work to find a suitable alternative product if that is the consumers decision, we will communicate with the consumer and subcontractor along the way to attempt to bring satisfactory resolution to this issue.
