      In May 2021 I was in an accident. I was flown to St Vincent Healthcare in ********, **. My care was great and I have no complaint regarding the physicians and medical staff. However, the billing department is where my complaints fall. I was told I should apply for ******** and my accident would be covered. According to ****, my case worker, ******** would cover my staff from the date submitted (she said she submitted the paperwork as soon as she arrived at work after Memorial Day weekend) plus up to 3 months previous. According to **** my entire visit would be covered. The accident involved a vehicle so auto insurance was pending. I was in the hospital from May 28, 2021 until July 27, 2021. After my discharge I had follow up appointments with an urologist in **************, ** at ********************** hospital and ALL surgeries and visits were paid 100% by ******* ********. I also had follow up visits in ********, **. Of the $300,000 + bills ******** ended up covering approximately $30,000 leaving my balance $270,000. The auto insurance is still pending but all parties do not understand why St Vincent handled the ******** so poorly. They seem to have only accepted ******** after there was a lien put on the auto insurance. I feel I have been mislead and deceived.
