I drove 98 miles to this location and asked for a diagnostic on my 2012 Subaru outback because I was concerned about oil consumption and also to get some bulb changes. I was told a diagnostic would be $180 alone. I was fine with that even though the whole thing would be out of pocket. Got the bulb changes but no diagnostic. Just a couple ideas of what it could be and no further explanation nor was there a print out of any diagnostic done. The total cost was $139 for labor, and $85 in bulbs. No diagnostics charge. They didn't even take the time to put my full name on the paperwork. If they had done a diagnostic, they would have found I accidentally put too much oil in the car. Drove 98 miles back and next day got a second opinion, oil change as well as fluid checks, air filter, oil filter, and purchased an extended warranty plan. I decreased the engine and undercarriage myself and since driving, have had no overwhelming oil burning odor, but will be watching the oil level, because I think the problem was overfilling the oil, but didn't know until I wad educated by a customer at ********** that it can cause other issues. Will be taking my Subaru the opposite direction of 92 miles. We've been there before and they've considerably better customer service. The waiting room was a superb experience, but the important things were neglected.

My experience with this dealership has been the worst I've ever had, especially considering this was an $80,000 purchase. I bought the vehicle remotely, and they assured me it was in good cosmetic condition. However, after the purchase, they disclosed it had a broken windshield. They promised to cover the replacement cost, quoting $800, but the actual cost turned out to be $1,600, and they refuse to pay the difference. To make matters worse, I still haven't received the $800 they initially promised, even though it's been over a month. On top of that, they underpaid the state taxes on the vehicle. When I went to register it, I had to pay an additional $400 out of pocket. Altogether, this transaction has cost me an unexpected $2,000, and the dealership has been completely unhelpful in resolving these issues. Avoid buying from them at all costs.

Over the years, I have had several less than satisfying interactions with Rimrock Auto's mechanic shop. I have endeavored to avoid the business due to unpleasant past experiences. Unfortunately, a catastrophic engine failure required a late-night tow and out of desperation, Rimrock Subaru was selected. *********** writer proved to be very difficult to deal with. The hustle at the outset to agree to high dollar work was intense. The options for the repair and the cost were moving targets. Once the work was done, what I was told at the outset was different from what was done. When questioned about the disparity, the service writer was remarkably confrontational, argumentative, disrespectful, condescending, mean spirited, inconsistent with what he had said prior to agreeing to the work and remarkably unbecoming of Rimrock Subaru. *********** writer was entirely incapable of accepting the possibility that he had misrepresented important facts, rather repeatedly stating, "I'm not wrong." He repeatedly stated relative to my impressions of what we had agreed to, "that doesn't even make any sense." *********** writer clearly does not respect the customers of Rimrock Subaru. I am unsure if the service writer's lack of respect of Rimrock Subaru customers reflects the overall culture of the business. I would advise at a minimum that all aspects of the proposed work be memorialized in writing before agreeing to having it done. I will avoid the business in the future. Multiple poor reviews at Yelp and elsewhere suggest that Rimrock Subaru has serious underlying problems with customer service and customer satisfaction. No doubt the success of the business could be improved if they valued their customers. I would hope that the Subaru corporate leaders would not endorse the culture at Rimrock Subaru given their obvious marketing strategy to frame their brand as warm and welcoming.
