      I received medical imaging in July of ************************************************************************************************************ I owed them $520.76. I never received a bill so I don't understand how I was ever sent to collections for it. I expect to be connected by this company and have a full explanation as to why I never received a bill and why I was sent to collections.

      To Whom It May Concern,
      Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the recent complaint submitted regarding an outstanding balance that was sent to CB1 collections.
      We understand the patients concern and would like to clarify that the collection notice they received does not pertain to Eastern Radiological Associates (radiologist).
      Upon reviewing the matter, we determined the collection in question was issued by Yellowstone *******************, a separate and independent medical (pathology) entity.
      Although both organizations provide medical services in our community and may be involved in the same episode of care, they operate independently,maintain separate billing departments, and issue their own statements.
       We sympathize with the patients confusion, as it is not uncommon for patients to assume all charges related to a single visit, episode of care or procedure are consolidated. I checked our systems,and we do not have an account for Mr. ****** at this time.
      Eastern Radiological Associates takes patient concerns seriously, and we strive to provide clear and accurate communication regarding our services and billing practices. If there is ever a concern directly related to our practice,we welcome the opportunity to address it promptly and thoroughly.

      Never received a bill from the business. **** was immediately sent to collections without any follow-up or attempt to contact me prior. This is unacceptable making a single contact and not following up regarding an outstanding bill prior to going straight to collections, seems like shady business practice. Come to find out the bill was lost in the mail by the ***** additional attempts should be made to reach out to the patient prior to sending to bill collections. I would love to talk to a representative of the company to help determine what was the issue in receiving the bill but their current phone tree hotline says the option to speak to a representative is not valid.

      I am writing in response to the complaint your company received. I apologize for the delay in getting back to you; I was out of the office for an extended period.
      It is unfortunate that ****** had a negative experience with our billing process for medical services. Medical billing can be complex and challenging. For many years, our contracted billing agent, *********************** Services (APS), was well respected, and we received very few complaints. However, after APS was sold, we noticed a decline in performance.
      In May 2024, APS sent out a letter addressing a billing system error. Please find the letter attached, as it addresses the concerns ****** raised. As of June 1, 2024, Eastern Radiological Associates has transitioned to a new billing agent. We are confident that our patients and customers will find the new services satisfactory.
      Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
