      On January 24th, 2025 i was traveling through Big Timber, MT on my way to work in the state of **********. An accident occurred a mile ahead of us on interstate 90. We went off the road and into the snow on the side of the road. Police responded and called Hansers of BIg Timber to pull us out. The gentleman pulled us approximately ten yards back to shoulder of the interstate and then charged my credit card $900.00. I appreciate the dangerous job and cold conditions however, I feel like $900 dollars is both excessive and predatory as we had no other choice. He said i should just call my insurance company so it feels like we are over-charging on services to fleece the insurance industry. We all pay for higher rates when this happens. This may not be illegal but it is unethical.

      To Whom It May Concern: 

      Thank you for the communication. The attached pictures show the details of the recovery. Please note the conditions were a winter storm, icy roads, significant snow, and extreme low temperatures. The pictures show the car further than ************************************* a deep snow. The charges reflect traffic control signage, a two-hour minimum on law enforcement calls (industry standard), and use of specialized straps and rigging to ensure a professional, damage free recovery. The charges associated, based on the conditions as well as being an emergency law enforcement call where we are required to respond immediately, are not predatory by any means nor unreasonable. We are a 60-year family business in the area and our charges were consistent with the other work we did during this very busy time based on similar conditions and situations.
