    I placed and order with *** Morgan Rodsmiths (TMR) on May 12, 2024 for a customer fly rod. I was charged the entire amount for the fly rod, plus shipping. In total I paid $1605.00. When I placed my order the company responded with a verification email that noted the delivery timeline was between 4 and 6 months, which I knew at the time of order. Through August of 2024 I had occassional contact with *** and was told that orders were being filled a little slower than normal. After August 2024 I have had no contact from *** and have reached out via phone, email, and social media avenues to try to get any feedback. As of May 28, 2025, the TMR webpage is no longer live, which suggests the company may be closed/closing. I have asked for my money to be returned, *** have received no response from the current owner.

    I ordered this fly fishing rod in February 2024. I was told it would be 4 months before it was completed. I have tried numerous times to get in touch with **** ****, the owner of *** Morgan Rodsmiths, and for months got no response. He has ignored me and lots of other customers which is visible on their ******** page. I have filed a complaint with the ************************, and had ******* police involved. **** said he would send the refund, and he never has. I want my money back. I have correspondence via email to prove that I was told 4 months, then told it would be another 2 to 3 months because of a delay. It has now been 13 months and **** is blatantly disregarding my request for a refund. I am furious. This is a terrible business.

    I put paid a $500 deposit on a fly rod making class 4/09/2024 and received confirmation via email for the registration and payment. I have called and emailed numerous times since then to make the additional payments. Upon not receiving any response I began requesting a cancelation and refund instead of making future payments. I discovered the lady whom I had communicated with previously is no longer employed by the company. Further emails and voicemails to "****" have not been returned. My spouse has also called the company inquiring if they are still in business and requesting a refund. Complaints about the company not replying to customers seems to be a growing concern as noted on multiple fly fishing forums and social media outlets. I am requesting a refund of the $500 I paid on 4/09/2024. Thank you for your help in resolving this matter.

    I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an unresolved issue with *** Morgan Rodsmiths, a company based in ********On November 21, 2023, I placed an order for a custom fly rod and made full payment at the time of purchase. The company initially committed to delivering the rod by April/May 2024. However, the product was not delivered within the promised timeframe.After several email exchanges with the company explaining delays, I was subsequently promised delivery by November 2024. Unfortunately, this deadline also passed without the rod being delivered. Since then, my repeated attempts to contact the company via email have gone unanswered.I am deeply concerned about the lack of communication and the companys failure to fulfill their obligations. I request your assistance in resolving this matter. My preference is either the immediate delivery of the custom fly rod as agreed upon or a full refund of the amount paid.I am happy to provide any additional information or documentation necessary to support my case. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

    Ordered a custom *** Morgan Fly Rod back in April. Have supporting documentation and emails. The lady I worked with to design the rod no longer works for the company and the suggested and responsible party ( e. g. ****, the business owner) does not respond to text messages, phone calls or emails. I simply asked for an update on the status of the rod, as communication said it would take 4-5 months to complete. This is month 6.

    On 9/6/2023 at 8:04AM Eastern Time I purchaed an "in-stock" non-customized rod from *** Morgan Rodsmiths off of their website, the photos of the specific rod did NOT show which kind of stripping guide was on the rod, just moments after placing the order, I came across a different section of their website explaining that all of their rods came standard with agate stripping guides, which I personally do not like. So on 9/6/2023 at 8:25AM just moments after I placed that order I sent TMR an email explaining that if this rod did indeed come with agate guides "which it did", I would like to cancel the order. I received a very polite response from the owner that same day at 12:00PM Eastern stating that these rods are custom and can be made however you like, to which I responded that same day at 1:44PM Eastern, I did not have time to wait on a custom rod, this was a gift for my Father and I would just prefer to cancel and I purchased him a gift elsewhere. I had after all purchased an "in-stock" non-customized rod that there would have been zero wait time on. When I did not hear back from ****, later that same day 9/6/2023 I sent a second email at 6:08PM again confirming I wanted to cancel my order. It was not until 9/11/2023 that the owner would respond to me again and he did so at 11:39 AM Eastern via email and he confirmed that he would process the cancellation/refund that same day. It is now 9/21/2023 and despite the fact I have left multiple voicemails and sent numerous emails inquiring about the status of my refund, I have to date not received a refund or even a response to any of my additional inquiries. I just want my refund for the order that I placed and cancelled less than 30 minutes later. I understand they are likely very busy and the fact I cancelled my order does not put me at the top of their list of people to help, but I feel I have been more than patient here and I don't know what else to do so here I am with the BBB.

I already contacted you and told you this the day the refund was issued, but for some reason you refused to close the dispute, despite the fact I was telling you the business had finally responded to my inquiries. Anyways, after many, many, many attempts to contact this business, they finally responded to a text message and issued my refund.

    Greetings-I placed an order with *** Morgan Rodsmiths in November 2022, and placed a $200 deposit on 11.30.22, for a custom fly rod. My understanding is the item would be ready in approximately 6 months. The company told me May 19 it was in final stages, and would be in touch the week of May 22. I reached out on June 26 and was told on June 30 it was just about ready. They have stopped responding to emails and text messages since, and I would like my deposit returned.

    WE provide a custom made product, unfortunately we are not always able to deliver product within a specified time window. As soon as we became aware of the customers dissatisfaction we immediately refunded the money they had paid as a deposit, fulfilling their request.
