    I called and spoke with ********* on numerous occasions, primarily concerned with whether there were current applications on a unit my family was interested in. I was told no so we proceeded to apply. Two days later, I called for an update and was told that the employee who reviews applications would be gone until Monday. Called Monday after hearing nothing & was told the unit had been placed "under contract" (not sure what that means for a rental property) ... but I had never been told I was denied. ********* herself agreed that that was a pretty poor business practice ("that really sucks") and encouraged me to apply for another unit of theirs. I refused & requested that any portion of the $200 I originally paid them be refunded. After I left a one-star review on another website, the property manager left an unprofessional reply stating that I am hard to please. But I won't apologize for having standards.Only upside: they also realized how horribly they'd treated us and gave us full refunds, more than I even asked for.
