    We employed *************************** from MitCon to build a garage, side our house and put on a roof. He had been employed by us for over 2 years and had partially finished things and was supposed to come back the following year (2019) to complete the rest of the construction. He kept stating that he would be here in a couple of weeks. He suddenly stopped returning any phone calls or answering any emails. Then COVID hit and we have had it at least 2 times each and it has left unable to follow up with a lot of things. i am now at a place where I can finally follow through with this. In the meantime, because the job was not finished, and hiring another contractor here is extremely difficult, it has created a number of other problems, including the fact that I took off our cold air return vents to wash them, only to find out that he did not fill in a gap between the basement and top floor which results in airflow throughout the entire house, which in turn has created increased utility usage for heating and cooling. I would be extremely wary about him coming back and finishing now since finding problems, and all of the siding needs to now be torn off in order to fill the gap, and then replace. When the roof was redone, they did not put a drip edge on the east side of the house and did not secure it well enough and so all of that needs replacing as well. This has become a nightmare for us. We have considered suing and will probably pursuing this road if this does not resolve anything.
