In June of 2022, my truck had a mechanical breakdown on the road and was not drivable. My insurance was able to help, but since I was working out of state, I did not know where to bring the truck to get fixed. I told ****************** to bring it to the first place that would take it. Denny Menholt Ford in ***** ******* was the first place that said they would do the repairs. The truck got towed there, and within a day I had one of their service reps call me saying hed get it ************ and done as soon as he could. 5-6 weeks go by, and I had not heard a thing from the dealership, or my insurance for that matter. I called the dealership, and that rep had since quit, and everything was a mess according the the person I talked to. I asked about my truck, and to their surprise, it had fallen through the cracks. They said they would start working on it. The paperwork was then given to a service rep by the name of ***. She had great communication with me, but almost seemed like I was talking my way down a dead end when it came to the work being done on my truck. A few weeks go by, and my truck had been passed to another rep by the name of ******. I tried calling almost every day and even left messages, still nothing. My insurance was also unable to speak to him. There was no communication, nothing. Finally on 11/8/22, I was able to speak to ******, and he gave me a quick explanation on why it was still there, even though it looks like my truck hasnt moved. Little did I know, my girlfriends mom had also had enough of it, and went to the dealership herself. She talked to a manager, and they gave her a completely different story, stating that they havent even pulled it in the shop yet. She also told me that everyone there seemed to be sitting around twiddling their thumbs, and that there was only one car in the main shop.

I am rejecting this response because:

I requested my vehicle get locked in the lot that it was stored. I have gone to my truck on several occasions and have found that there are things scattered about that I have previously put away. On 11/26/22 I went to grab a few things. I found that there were a few items stolen and some things broken in the cab of the truck. I express concern over my personal items and do not appreciate the neglect my vehicle has received from this dealership

    Sincerely,

    *****************

The original complaint has been resolved as the customer's insurance company declared the vehicle a total loss.  In response to the additional complaint, the customer's vehicle did not have working locks, and the customer was advised that we are not responsible for items left in vehicles on our property.
