I talked with *** (owner) about fencing our property. He gave me quote of 20 hours at 100 per hour which is ******* which was fine. He showed up on the job dropped a couple guys off, I explained to them the boundaries (posts already in place for the corners) and and old fence was removed (holes from posts still there) *********** showed up after 10 am and were gone everyday before 3. 5 days it took them because they didn't work full 8 hours. I asked *** what we were at for cost because he told me 2 days at 10 hours and I explained to him they weren't there a full day he didn't believe me, he then told me in text it was *******, I got a bill for ******* he charged for an incorrect amount of posts (overcharged) then his workers drove through our septic drainage and sunk the skidsteer deep in it, the spacing on our front posts range from 6 ft to 12 ft(supposed to be 8 ft). I tried calling *** he wouldn't respond. I sent ***** but wanted his insurance information to get my septic drainage fixed and incorrect posts spacing fixed and all I have gotten is threatening calls from his fiance. I will pay the remainder if he gives me his insurance to fix my property.

      Re: ***********************

      To whom it may concern.
Anderson Fencing, Inc. received a call from *********************** asking us to pound some posts on her property. I (*** Anderson) agreed, stating we charge $200 per hour for labor and equipment, and the total would be dependent on property condition (ground condition rock, etc.)She stated that would be fine.

She went on to tell me (*** Anderson) that she hired another company to do this job and that they took the money and never did any work. I felt bad for her, as (per what she said) she was taken advantage of so I put her job before other customers to try to help her out.

Our business is in ****** *******,the job location ************************* residence is located in ***** *******. The drive time is approximately 1.5 hours, which is included in the hourly rate. Our business hours in the Winter/Spring (cold months) are 8am to 5pm. Our employees worked a full day with these considerations.

The complaint that we damaged any property was never brought to our attention until we tried to collect the remaining balance of $1708. We called ****** in July asking for payment from the job completed in May which shed received a statement on several times and she went ballistic on the phone stating we werent getting the payment because we damaged her septic and she has an attorney and was going to *** us and that we are known for doing a terrible job and on and on with rude and belligerent statements, calling *********************. We explained if there was property damage the appropriate way to handle it is to 1. Inform us 2. Have an estimate sent to ** so we can file it with our insurance 3. Pay her balance due because that is her responsibility. She continued to threaten shed have her lawyer handle it. Our response was that we had insurance for this reason and if she was involving a lawyer, we would as well. After her continuing to be rude, we finished the call. We then contacted our legal counsel and proceeded to place a property lien on the property to collect the balance due. Now, after ****** received notice of the lien, she is generating a BBB complaint in sheer desperation to get out of paying her now 180-day past due balance.

Few other facts pertaining to this complaint:
Septic was never marked or discussed with employees or me
We delivered posts as needed for the job
We charged ****** $180 per hour, though wed originally said it was $200 per hour
****** never complained of anything until WE CALLED HER FOR FINAL PAYMENT
****** filed this complaint after we filed a lien on her property if we did such a terrible job why wait until now.
Anderson Fencing, Inc. has been in business for 24 years with huge community support and returning, lifelong customers.
Nobody from Anderson Fencing, Inc. has threatened ****** we do not do business in such a manner. We do call on past due accounts and ask for payment.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to detail the events that transpired.
      Sincerely,
      *** Anderson

The statement *** Anderson made is false I even sent partial payment with pictures of the damage and his fiance **** told me it wasnt their problem and that I needed to contact my insurance.  *** hired an inexperienced crew and they didnt follow the brightly survey staked property boundaries for the fencing. *** would not return any phone calls or messages and had his office crew that turned over more than 3 times since May so I was never in contact with the same person. My attorney is waiting on a bid for redoing the whole ****** project **************************** has done and numerous people as well as other fencing contractors have stated he is not a good business man.
