Big Sky Organic-Montana Flour & Grains sold me poultry feed Feb 2024, I received the product March 2024. I asked **** to provide me with an invoice before the product was shipped, they wouldn't provide an invoice ahead until after delivery even though I asked and they confirmed that they would send one. After receiving the product and getting the invoice for $9,299.25, I let **** know I'll be paying with a check. **** told me I had 30 days to pay the invoice. The invoice stated if paying with a credit card the price goes up every 10 days until the due date. I didn't change the amount I paid because I paid with a check by 30 days. I didn't hear from them until this month, Oct 4 2024. They told me I have an outstanding invoice of $1,101.72. I emailed them back letting them know I didn't owe this because I paid with a check. ***** with Montana Flour & Grains ******************************************************* sent me a receipt showing I paid with a credit card ****** ending in some random number that I didn't own. I sent them a copy of the BillPay receipt showing it was sent through my checking account as a check through BillPay. I also contacted my bank, they let me know it was sent as an electronic check (ACH) through BillPay. I told my bank they had a receipt showing I paid with a credit card that I didn't own. The bank informed me that the company receiving the payment from ******* arranges with ******* how they receive their payments so if it was sent as a credit card payment through ******* it was the company that lined that up. The company also let me know they had several other customers that thought they paid with a check but in fact paid with a credit card (I'm assuming they pulled this trick on other companies). I went in to ******* to see why it only allows me to pay this company with an electronic check and it now says standard check. I asked my bank why it's different and they let me know the company changed it.
