    Booked cabin through ****. Had to cancel due to unforeseen medical emergency that needed me to go out of country Informed host of the nature of issue and ******************* agreed to refund the deposit if she finds another booking for the dates I had originally blocked the property for. After she found another booking within a few days, she cut off all communication with me. All requests to honor her word were met with silence. She disconnected my call and refused to even pay a cent breaking her promised contract

    This guy *********************** has been harassing me for months. Ever since he cancelled his reservation on May 15 2024 at 5:44pm- for June 12 2024. As noted below in screenshot, we have chosen the STRICT cancellation policy through VRBO. Which is -No refund if less than 30 days notice. (We live in a very remote area. It is very hard to get days rebooked, last minute. Because not many people make a big trip this far at the last minute. )

     

    He harassed me numerous times via a five VRBO messages, four emails, many texts and three direct phone calls and now this! 

     

    Finally VRBO responded to him that per his choice of agreeing to our strict cancellation policy upon making the reservation he is not allotted any refund at all. He only made the first of three payments, as shown below. I am already out the second and third payment from him, another $835. **** has banned him due to his harassment and not abiding by the policy he agreed to! 

     

    I have not done anything outside of the policy I have through VRBO. **** has already settled this matter by backing me up that I do not have to refund his initial payment.  I do not believe this is a BBB issue. He is not satisfied with me nor VRBO so he is now trying this avenue. As you can see, we have never had a complaint against us before. We have been in this business for seven years now. I have spent countless hours addressing this. I am out a lot of time, effort and stress because of this person! I stand by my policy and do not want to refund this person any monies. 

    I am actually anxious and nervous about what this guy will try next. I would like it documented. I do not see him stopping.
