      Hello, this in regard to the billing and pre-authorization process at the Great Falls Clinic in Great Falls, MT. First of all, I waited almost 8 months to finally get in with the pain management specialist for an initial visit. This seems very inefficient for people in severe pain. The procedure will take 3-4 months to complete, if I can get someone to work on the pre-authorization in a timely manner. However, after I made it very clear while checking in at the appointment, who they were to bill, they still sent it to ******** anyway. Two weeks go by and I receive a denial letter for the procedure from ********* I called to clear this up, I gave them the responsible party information again (they already have a copy of my card on file) but another 2 weeks have passed and I have heard nothing even after calling again and leaving a message for help with this. I have a closed work comp case and with that settlement I have a medical set aside for future neck issues. Nobody seems to understand what this is or how to bill it at the Great Falls Clinic. Every other location I use this set aside account, has no problem. It runs through like regular insurance but it is a company that just handles the money that is just sitting there for me to use. I dont believe they even need prior authorization to use it if its neck related. This company pays my bills Immediately, are very easy to contact and work with so I dont understand what is happening here. They simply need to run it or give them a call if they dont understand how to. Efficiency and education seem to be the issue here and that can have devastating consequences to their patients that are suffering daily until the *** can get around to figuring it out. Its an extremely helpless feeling when a clinic who specializes in health, simply doesnt care about the patients, just the money they can get from them. If someone were to work on this issue, it would be approved same day, not two weeks or another two months.

      Dec 2, 2024, email received from the Better Business Bureau from a patient communication.
      I initiated an internal investigation with Great Falls Hospital and Clinic Revenue Cycle and provider office. 
      The patient communication writings were discussed and completed necessary education with the involved staff, the matter is resolved.
      Phone Call to pt, Voice Mail with my contact information is in the Voice Mail. 
      Great Falls Hospital and Clinic appreciate the opportunity for improvement as a result of the consumer notifying the Better Business Bureau.

      Initial transaction Jan 11 2023, $150 payed to Great Falls Clinic ************** (Patient #*****) at 2:11pm (self paid to start diagnoses while Work Comp case# was being generated with DOC,NOAA,NWS. (1st time ever filing a work comp or filing BBB complaint) Appt was made and within 5 minutes were informed that clinic did not have the equipment to perform the diagnoses and we would have to go to GTF Benefis Hospital. Asked for a refund and were informed that a refund could not be accomplished at that location and we would have to go to the business offices for a refund. GTF clinic blamed Priviahealth system on not being able to give refund.Called business office 1/12/23 and was told the money would NOT be refunded but would be applied to recent previous appt 1/9/23; NOT related to this injury. Remainder of $150 would be refunded and would take weeks to months. The 1/9/23 appt wasn't posted until 4/17/23. All our bills are always paid on time and no issues with GTF's Clinic to this point. Follow up call 4/21/23 and were informed remainder of $150 was now being applied to another appt: routine Welfare check, from 4/11/23. Called 7/24/23 and were informed billing was still being processed. Called 9/12/23 and still no resolution. At this point we thought a refund check was being sent.Received an email 10/17/23 from Priviahealth (billing service for GTF Clinic) that we are eligible for a refund of ***** by creating account online but chose to call the provided number in email. Called 10/18/23 and after 40+ minutes of a run around conversation wanting our credit card number and refusing to generate a case # without it. Verified phone # as GTF patient portal.This complaint is not about the sum, but the inability to issue a timely refund, the use of our funds for other services without our consent, the 8 phone calls and accumulated; now hours, of our time that is not being compensated.

      I was treated very rudely by this clinics receptionist. Over the duration of the last 10 months this hospitals negligence has been the result of my lack of recovery. My attempts to complain about him telling me to go somewhere else rudely, after providing misimformation. Pertaining to my records. Have done no good. This young man has been reported before for mistreating the blind and elderly. This clinic needs to be closed.
