    was charged for termination of service just hours after I paid the bill so had to pay the fee in order to keep the service for water and sewer.

    The Districts ordinance has in place that a customer that is 30 days past due will be mailed a Notice of Violation for non-payment, to which they have 10 days to respond or pay the delinquent amount. Attached is the draft of the letter as a copy that was mailed to all delinquent accounts, including Mr. ********** It also states termination of service would be on December 26, 2024. No communication was received by the customer by the start of the business day December 26.  All dropped payments were collected by 8:30 AM, to which no payment at that time was in the drop box. Termination of delinquent services began, to which the customer then, while operator out doing shut-offs, then proceeded to put payment in the drop box, called regarding the payment being dropped off while operator was at their place to already perform disconnect of service. This customer has received this Notice of Violation letter every month since August and is a repeat offender of being late. The District incurs costs associated with time, paperwork, vehicle expenses, to perform disconnect of customer services for non-payment, therefore the fees stand, and no refund will be issued.
