We are two disabled people who have requested Garbage **** to provide a metal dumpster to make it able for us to get rid of our garbage weekly. I have a heart condition, and two arthritic knees, one of which needs to be replaced. My spouse is a disabled vet and has Rheumatoid Arthritis which makes it extremely difficult for her to also move heavy garbage cans out to the alley every week. In the winter it becomes impossible to move the garbage cans due to the snow.We have been asking and being told "No" and when asked why that is, we are told "Because the owner says so." Our only other recourse if this doesn't work is to file a complaint with the **** which we don't want to do because it shouldn't have to come to that. Other houses around us have dumpsters. I don't know why not assisting two people with legitimate, physical disabilities the use of a dumpster is so difficult.

Milk River Disposal is under contract with the *************** for collecting garbage within the City limits. Our contract states that each residential household is allowed to have 3 - 30 gallon garbage cans that they provide themselves, and that we will  dump them twice weekly. These garbage cans should be in the alley and should not have to be moved unless the homeowner chooses to move them . We do not provide metal dumpsters to households, if there are households that have metal dumpsters, it is because they purchased them on their own before we were awarded the contract with the City. When I spoke to *******, she stated that the City told her that the garbage cans had to be in  a rack, that has nothing to do with Milk River Disposal. There are several residents that do not use a rack so I believe that her issue is with the City of Chinook and not with Milk River Disposal.
