I paid D Steel Construction and Equipment $6000.00 on 2/19/25 for equipment and labor to install. The owner, *** ******, scheduled to do the work on 3/14/25. He did not show up or call. I called him, but no answer. I sent him a text and he replied. he rescheduled for 3/28/25. Again, he did not show up or even call. I tried numerous times to call him he would not answer. I used my wife's phone to call him, and he answered. He was now claiming to have some legal issues and would have to reschedule for 3/31/25. I told him that well not work, it is obvious you don't have the time to come to ******** to do the work I have paid you for, I am going to leave right now for ******, and will be there late this afternoon to pick up the equipment and I want a refund check for the labor you were supposed to do. He replied ok. When I arrived at his place in ****** he was not there. I called him to find out what is going on, he replied he had to go to ******** to do another job. He stated that he left some of the equipment on his front lawn for me and promised to bring the rest to me in ******** on 3/31/25. Once again, he did not show up, he did not call, and did not send a text. I have tried numerous times to contact him by phone, text, and e mail. He does not answer.

Over 2 years ago, D&L Equipment agreed to supply parts and installation for a paint booth at ********* Car in ********* **. They sent a bill for a furnace and parts that supposedly had to be purchased BEFORE scheduling definite install dates. They also asked carpentry work, concrete work, and cleanup to be done. ************** has spent over $25,000 to get this project going, get materials, get the furnace, and get concrete work done, etc. Despite repeated requests to get on the calendar and have heater and booth installed, D&L equipment stopped answering their phones, returning emails, and communicating about the work to be completed. They briefly stated that they were having labor issues, and would have to postpone, 3 different times. Unfortunately, 1.5 years later, we have to had to give up and move on, assuming they are completely unable to fulfill their obligations. We have been requesting money back for a year, and will escalate to a lawyer if needed, but have been willing to be cordial and avoid lawyers if possible.

*** continually tried to get reimbursed for a paint booth project that he required money down on and then never started. The last three dates are July 6, June 20th, and May 22, 2023. I try about once a month to get at least some kind of reimbursement.
