      On January 18, 2024 I paid a 50% deposit on bathroom tile for my home. The business shut its doors and *** made numerous unsuccessful attempts to get a refund (the tile was never ordered nor received).

      Transaction Date: 01/17/2024 Salesman: **** On 01/17/2024, I requested a refund on an item I place an order for on 10/19/2023. When I initially placed the order in October, I was told by **** that they would call when the order was placed, which never happened nor were they able to provide status updates when I visited in person. I also called and left voicemails several times requesting a call back between October and January and they didn't return a single phone call. When I requested the refund for $189 (the part of the order that never showed up), **** initially asked me to come back in a day or two when his colleague ***** was working. I refused as this process had already taken an excessive amount of time and requested the refund during that visit. **** provided the attached receipt but the refund was never received by our bank. Since 01/17/2024, my husband and I have stopped by in person several times and tried calling numerous times. Phone calls are not returned. Each time we've stopped by, there's a paper taped to the front door with some reason for closure. Yesterday and today, the sign simply says "closed" and "by appointment only" with a phone number below. This phone number rings straight through to voicemail and the voicemail box is full. This number is different from the business phone number listed on ****** but the business number's voicemail box is also full. I am not able to get in touch with anyone at this business to resolve this issue.

      Greetings, 

       

      It has been has been 9 additional business days since this business responded and the issue has still not been resolved. They have not processed the refund, they have not contacted me directly and when I drove by the business today, there is a closed sign despite it being during their advertised business hours. I do not believe this is an issue of them waiting for the credit card company to process the refund as it has been over 2 months since the refund was allegedly initiated. If necessary, I am happy to take this to small claims court as I am owed $189.00.

      Original date of transaction was October 19, 2023; total amount paid to business: $790.00. One portion of the order was received, however a portion of the order was never received at the store ($189 as shown on the attached receipt). I requested a refund and this was supposedly processed on January 17, 2024. This refund was never received in my bank account. I've reached out to this business countless times via telephone and trying to visit in person. The business appears to be closed and phone calls have never been returned. I've filed a couple complains through BBB and I was told at one point by the business that they'd cut me a check for the refund but they failed to follow up on this. I would like a refund in the amount of $189.00.
