    We purchased a king mattress Beauty rest Black med. and an adjustable base on 9-26-24, it was delivered on 10-6-24. We slept on it 1 night miserably. It hurts our backs and are very unhappy. We called mattress Firm and told them. They asked us to come back in ( a 120) mile trip to try out other mattress in their show room. We tried other ones for over an hour and a half and could not find anything acceptable. So we asked them for a refund. The salesman ****** told us they do not give refunds on mattresses. We were never told that we could not get a refund, on a mattress by *****, the original salesman. We were told no refunds on adjustable base only. Which is also mentioned on our sales receipt. But the original salesman, ***** never said that we could not get a refund on the mattress. The purchase agreement does not state that we cannot get a refund on a mattress. We were refused a refund and told to pick another bed. We want a refund...We went back the very next day after delivery. Our backs are hurting. I have 2nd bed from ****** that cost 599 that I use for company that is more comfortable. I am a Disabled Vietnam Veteran with health problems and my wife heart problems, and we do not need this stress. Thank you, and we pray you can help us get this refund. $3,699.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    We have decided to start over with the original deal and we are going to try a different mattress. We still need them to agree to a refund if this new mattress is not satisfactory. We are trying to work with them, but we will not receive a new mattress for 2 weeks. So we do not want to close the case yet, until we know if the next mattress is satisfactory. They did  not agree to give us a refund on the second mattress and wanted to quickly close the case, before we receive the new mattress.

    We received Portias inquiry about the dissatisfaction with her original purchase. We spoke multiple times, came up with a solution and exchanged her original purchase for her new desired feel, at no cost. She is satisfied with the transaction and has said she is going to lift her dispute with the BBB. Thank you for all your help.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    *** from Mattress Firm called me on December the 6th. The day after BBB told me on the 5th that you were closing the complaint because of no response from ************. He was desperate to get me to drop the complaint. I told *** on the 6th that you had closed and I would tell BBB that Matress Firm is working with me. But ***** response is incorrect, because I told him that I still need the same warranty or refund that they promised me with the first mattress. I am supposed to have a year to exchange or refund if necessary. If there are defects ect. *** had told me in the beginning, that he would honor that. If *** will write the BBB and myself a letter stating that we get a new warranty with this new mattress or refund if we are not satisfied, then we will accept that and drop the complaint.
