I put my husband in Edgewood in Kalispell, Mt because I broke my arm. He has ********* Disease and Lewy body. 4 days before I took him out I asked them to get a bill ready for what I owed. On Jan 2nd I went to pay and they told me I owed $250 because I got him out before noon. They told me I didnt owe for the 2nd. A month after I got him home I get a bill from them saying I owed $650. I asked them for what &they told me I owed another $250 for the month of Dec because there were 31 days. I paid them $7500.-because that was the bill they sent me. They said I owed $250 forJan 2nd now &then $150 for miscellaneous. I asked what that was &they said for bubble wrapping the pills. I called the pharmacy they had me use and they told me they dont charge for bubble wrapping. When I asked about I was hung up on 4 times. Also I found out from a caregiver that was taking my husband blood pressure that they didnt give him his medicine. I told her he had to give that every day because it was from his blood pressure from dropping to low which is life threatening. She called the nurse then and wouldnt let me talk to her. A nurse cant take someone off of medication without talking to a doctor. I talked to a nurse the next day and she said they just had a meeting about that &he would be given his meds. They also wasnt walking my husband and had to complain to them. I talked to 4 or their caregivers and they told me they were short on staff which the manager denied. The manager said he was being walked which I knew he wasnt because I was there almost every day. I hired PT to go in and work with my husband twice a week and she asked me what happened because he really was declining. I told her it was because he wasnt being walked and that was when I made sure he was being walked which isnt my job. The last few days I had to walk him myself. For what I was paying that was elderly abuse. I for sure dont think I owe them any more money. I paid every bill they sent me except for $650.
