    I was given a gift certificate to ****** Old Fashioned Butcher Shop and Deli of $100. I spent $44.67 of that gift certificate. They put the remaining balance of the gift certificate of $55.33 on my account as a credit. I didn't go back there until 3/22/25. I purchase a $149 ***** roll and I mentioned I had a credit, wanting to use if for the purchase. They said they had updated their sales systems and deleted all the records of credits but to bring in my receipt with the credit on it and they would "do something". I found my receipt and brought it in later that day and the manager ***** told me after the update this July they had erased all their records of account credits. She explained I was one of the few, if not, the only one that has asked for my credit. She said couldn't do anything for me and refused to honor my credit.

    We did do a transaction with her, for a ***** roast which she paid for. Then after asked about a credit from her past account. It was stated for her to bring in the receipt and we will see what we can do.

    She brought in the receipt (as copied), with the date in the upper left corner of the year 2022. The date of this current transaction was 03/22/2025

    Our store policy has a Gift certificate expiration of 2 years. I noted that and also told her we had updated our system shortly after that but did hang onto it for all customer information and accounts for the two-year term till expiration.

    We just recently terminated the old System and all outdated information.

    However, I should have stated that if she was able to find a more current receipt, the store would honor it. I will still, if that is the case.

    I am rejecting this response because: There was never an expiration date provided on gift certificates or credits. If I owed any business money or if I was holding money for a business and I told them that I had updated my system and no longer kept record of the debit or credit I'm pretty sure said business would not just let it go.

    On the date of 11:18/2022 at 2:56 p.m. they have the list price for ***** roast at **** a pound. I asked the cashier to make sure she said it was **** per pound. After I made the purchase I looked at my receipt and I was charged $6.99 per pound. I tried to resolve this thinking they made a mistake and they refused to change it. I asked for clarification as to why the price is different than advertised. They had no answer and just kept saying they would not change it.

    I would like to start off by apologizing for this complete misunderstanding.

    To recap the situation, We had ***** roasts in the counter at the $5.99 price.  You wanted a bigger roast, so we had to open a  new box from the new  shipment that week. This shipment, OUR price for ***** had gone up a dollar a pound. Therefore, we had to raise the price to cover costs on this sale.

    As we were ringing you up. You asked, the price and we explained the ones on display are $5.99 were from previous shipment and prices were lower at that time. We asked if that was okay and you agreed and continued to pay.

    After we received a bad review on ******* we called and talked to a woman. We explained the situation again and asked if we can reimburse that extra cost this time for the misunderstanding. She replied "Oh, Okay.  Thank you"  And that was all.

    We will be happy to return your money for that extra cost as stated before.
