I turned over files to CBO: *****************************, Professional Collection **************************** Services *************************************** This is a landlord - tenant law. To make an extremely long story short, their attorney would not allow some of the charges I was asking for even though they are permitted & covered in the *** & in a legally signed contract. Of course, I asked questions for several reasons: do I need to change the lease, wording etc. & this is my paycheck! These charges were coming out of my pocket. The remainder were charges for the damage done to the unit. This particular couple did ten thousand dollars' worth of damage to the unit. The other gal just up & disappeared putting a stop pay on her checks after signing the lease. The only answer I could from her is that her attorney stated: "is not acceptable to my attorney", "the standard of actual damages, and you cant contract around the law". Nothing was "contracted around the law". I contacted the President of ***************************** who along with a gentleman CBO bought the collection agency from helps to write & get the *** passed through legislature. He explained the charges are covered & gave me the codes. He was kind enough to contact them to have a conversation w/ ******** & provide the codes that would allow them to accept. Well, ******** continued to state to me that I/we were trying to "negotiate". This is absolutely incorrect! Trying to have a conversation w/ a company to get some answers that are legitimate in order to help us out to make changes & understand the reasoning behind is not negotiating. After the conversation w/ the President, I receive email stating they will not take on files. Ok but what does this say about the company when they will not take the time to have a "conversation" not just w/ me but the President of MT LL Association. She took too personal. Very disappointed, so will the members of MT LL Association be.
