      Sent expired medication 11/12/2024 my surgery date was going to be 11/22/2024 I requested to my money to be sent back because I wasnt going to have surgery ***** told me that they couldnt refund my money And she talked to **** ******* and she was to busy to talked to me I am reporting this matter to Better Business Bureau I been a RN for over 40 years and never been treated like this **** ******** sent me a text saying they couldnt take the medication bottles back I Never said I was going to send the medication back O know you cant do that The said the would send me out new medication when I have surgery I told her I wasnt going to have surgery ***** said will the medicine was good when we sent it out I told ur employee ***** I couldnt make that doctor do surgery before that expiration date 11/12/2024 I am very upset that this problem was not resolved

      This patients prescription was received on 07/22/24. The patient then went online and confirmed their order on 07/22/24 at 12:41pm. Her order was then processed and filled with medication that had an expiration date of 11/12/2024. We were not informed of her surgery date so we did not know that we should hold off on sending the medication until closer to her surgery date.The patient emailed on 08/26/2024 requesting to cancel her eye drops and send back her $70 as she was not going to have the surgery at this time. Our manager replied to her email stating that we are not able to take the medication back once the drops leave the pharmacy and are unable to refund her. The patient then called the pharmacy, and we offered to send her a no-charge replacement when she reschedules her surgery but unfortunately, we were unable to refund her. As with any other pharmacy, once you pay for a medication and it leaves the pharmacy, returns and refunds are typically not approved. Regardless of when the patient reschedules her surgery, we would be happy to send her a replacement order at no charge prior to her surgery.

Upon reviewing your case, we see your prescriber sent a prescription for an upcoming surgery, but did not provide a date. ** situations like this, we ship the prescription, acting in good faith and with the patient's best interest in mind, to ensure they receive the prescribed medication on time.

      When you contacted ** and informed ** you did not need the medication, we asked you to return the shipment and confirmed that no payment would be required from your end. We sincerely apologize if there was any confusion or misunderstanding regarding your case.

      First, I get a text telling me simply to log into a website to "verify my address and enter payment information" on a non-secure web address (HTTP: vs HTTPS:) - I get the text less than two hours after the prescription - with NO confirmed cataract surgery date, yet. THEN get a phone call the next day, but since I wasn't home to answer the phone, it goes to voicemail and the message simply states to "back at your convenience...etc" in other words, halfway through a pre-recorded robo-call. I know there are systems available that are 'smart' enough to wait for my outgoing message to complete-and beep, before starting their outgoing message. I did try to contact some sort of customer service to discuss - but there is no "press number to talk to customer service" available on the phone number" and it's probably just some chatbot on the online chat that kept popping up on the website.
