On 4/8/23 we purchased a used **** ** Sportsman fifth wheel trailer. The motor assembly for the living room slide out was bad and we were promised that this would be replace/repaired upon delivery. When we went to pick up the trailer on the delivery date it was not ready, so they had to have the unit delivered to us. We were not able to do a walk through after delivery. I did not try the bump out for several days, and when I did it went out and in once. After that I had to use a wrench to operate the slide out. The issue was not fixed as promised. I have paperwork stating it would be repaired. I have been getting the run around for several months without any resolution. As of this point I cannot even get anyone to call me back. All I want is this company to honor the promise they made to repair/replace this faulty motor unit.

Our records show your signature on our AS-IS statement; that we include in all our sales of used units. Records also show we replaced the old slide motor and our technicians did have the slide in working order when it left our lot, per the We Owe and purchase agreement. As you stated it went in and out, if you over extended it, it may well have been damaged. Please bring it back to our service department so we may diagnose the slide again. Had you purchased a service contract a mobile mechanic could have been an alternative option.

First off I would like to state that RV Truck Sales has consecutively had our BRAND new camper more days than we have had it in our hands. Before we even signed papers on the camper we went into the deal knowing about the floor situation and how the claim was placed on the floor. After the camper was in our hands for the first time we gotta take it out 3 times. After memorial day we dropped the camper back off to RV Truck Sales thinking the floor was getting fixed. RV Truck Sales had the camper until right around Labor Day weekend and the floor was not fixed. During this time many different cosmetic things were cared for. We picked the camper up only to use it till mid October when we then dropped it off again. RV Truck Sales had the camper for 5 and 1/2 months. The floor was fixed along with other things we had found wrong with the camper. The floor was not fixed to what we were told it would be. We were told the floor would be completely replaced. When we dropped the camper off the second time, we had mentioned the fridge was not working properly. That was finally addressed the day we picked our camper up after not having it for 5 and 1/2 months. During these 5 and 1/2 months we did not get contacted once from RV Truck Sales. I personally tried to call and was never given a phone call back. But when my fiance called RV Truck Sales called him right back. We finally picked our camper up on March 31st. When we got it home and last week when I went to clean it to use it for the weekend I found our mattress was wet. This got me looking and investigating more. That is when I found the water damage had not just begun. It has been there long enough black mold has grown. All down the wall and cupboard in the bedroom. I work in a hospital and black mold is not safe whether you clean it up or not. And you cannot tell me there isn't mold in the wall of the camper. We found where the front of the camper meets the roof is completely coming apart.

I did not receive this in any legible format until this morning, please see the attached systemically corrupt and illegible original email from BBB which I had just deleted.

I have already responded to this exact wording directly with ******** who incidentally is neither a signer on the loan or a customer of record or the owner of title. The customer of record is ********************************

This as I have stated to ******** and ***** caused some disconnect and misunderstanding right out of the gate and quite frankly along the way.   Never at any point did we as a business or any person associated with it prevent them from being in physical possession of the trailer and furthermore none of the service issues affected the functionality of the trailer and were by and large aesthetic and cosmetic in nature.  The only exception to that would be a unique issue with the freezer working properly but no transfer from the cooling unit to the fridge portion, never have I seen this before and we missed ********. in the winter when the ambient temperature was such that in July it would have been apparent. Lots of new trailers are left here over the winter for service and people are happy to not have to store them.

However as I have previously acknowledged we as a service department absolutely dropped the the ball and failed to communicate and follow thru properly and as a result in an effort to appease and apologize and hopefully make amends on 4/3/23 we issued a check to Capital ********************** for $2773.00 to pay down there loan in the amount of the remaining extended vehicle service contract as the manufacturers 1 year warranty was to expire on 4/8/23.

Later when she decides that she wants ** to buy the camper back and just pay her loan off and walk away, I informed her that I cant buy it back but I can take it back on trade and try to get them in a different unit that hopefully they can have a better experience with.
