May 20th at 7:13pm we dropped my car a 08 Buick Enclave off at Ben Taylors in ****** ******* to have a pressure hose replaces as well as my power steering pump as it was going out as well, every week I was calling and checking on my car and I was being told next week waiting on parts to come in. As the months went by I would ask for an estimated time frame it would be done and again still nothing my car was still sitting in the parking lot not being worked on, on Monday 8/29/22 I called and talk to *********************** and told her my car was there for 3 months and that something needed to be done and she called me later in the evening stating it would be done by evening the next day so I waited and no call, on Thursday September 1st 2022 I made the payment in full $1221.74 to drive my car out of the shop stating it was finished. I drove my car 10 miles from the shop and all my gages and lights started popping up and my car s*** off completely. I stopped on the side of the road and called ****** and the shop to which **** said I will be by after work to see whats wrong with the vehicle and I left it there because he said he was being a battery out there to have it moved back to the shop to find out what was wrong with it. We called again Tuesday September 6th to ask the status of the vehicle and nothing was done its still sitting on the side of the road possible waiting to be towed and ticketed as well. I spoke with ****************** and she basically told me there is nothing they can do for me or my vehicle to tow it somewhere else. She will not take any form of responsibility for the work they have done on my vehicle let alone what is wrong with my vehicle since it has been in there shop for the 3.5 months I am requesting from them all my money back as well as them taking responsibility for my vehicle and the towing fees and the tickets I may receive for their neglect and their poor business skills when it comes to problems they can help fix.

The repairs performed in our repair shop are unrelated to the electrical problems.  We chose to not explore the electrical portion due to complexity.

I have had my vehicle towed to a dealership to look at my vehicle and his findings are in documents included. My vehicle was not properly fixed by Ben Taylors in ****** **. I have brought it to the attention of the manager and she basically told me they cant do anything more for my vehicle and that it was not their fault for my vehicles alternator catching fire from the leaking power steering fluid that their mechanic put into my vehicle the day prior. I am looking at paying the double the amount of what I paid for them to half a** fix my car and to have my vehicle towed and to have ANOTHER power steering pump replaced due to their negligence! I do have the number to the mechanic who fixed my vehicle to prove Ben Taylors caused my vehicle to only drive 10 miles from their garage and stop working and smoke coming from under the hood and later find out their was a fire that burned my wire harness due to the power steering pump leak and to cause more problems than when I had brought my vehicle to them.

I am rejecting this response because:

The electrical issues were a result of their neglect in properly replacing and fixing the power steering pump, when doing so the power steering pump leaked all the fluid into the engine block area as well at the alternator which resulted in the alternator catching fire and also burning the wire harness. All these problems happened because the mechanic at Ben Taylors Neglected to properly fix the issue in my vehicle and caused a chain reaction of issues that caused myself $575 in towing charges and over $2000 in parts and laboring to fix the problems Ben Taylors caused by not properly fixing my vehicle. I paid Ben Taylors $1,221.74  to have my car fixed and it was not fixed and caused more damage. I am currently ************ contacting the Better Business Burea in regards the this establishment. I have consulted with multiple certified mechanics see papers attached to account, these issues all stem from the negligence of the mechanic at Ben Taylors.

I am rejecting this response because:

As i clearly stated in all the previous interactions, from the neglect of Ben Taylors Mechanic ****, my power steering pump that he had replaced did NOT have any kind of fluids and was in FACT leaking resulted in the alternator catching fire and burning the wire harness. Everything that has happened to my vehicle and all the charges Im looking at paying over $4000 Im paying is ALL Ben Taylors fault. If my vehicle had properly been fixed these chain reaction of events in my vehicles having to have a power steering pump replaced as well as everything else. All these problems have been rooted out and are a result of the power steering pump not being fixed properly by Ben Taylor so yes I feel it is only fair they pay the expenses for my vehicles they cause all the damages

    Sincerely,
