On 2/1025 we paid a 50% deposit for work to begin on 2/17 for installing 2 bathroom vanities, painting 7 rooms and installing a counter top provided by me. Mr. ***** said he could complete this in 3 days. However he did not show up that week stating he needed to finish a prior job. On 2/24 he showed up at noon and required my assistance to partially install the counter top. This was not trimmed out and left unfinished. He left around 4:30. On 2/25 he texted saying he needed to take his mother to the doctor. 2/26 he showed up after 1 and worked half a day. 2/27 he showed up at 11:30 and leaves by 5:30. On 2/28 his helper showed up with his wife and toddler around 9:30. Mr. ***** showed up at 10 and left 15 minutes later saying he will be back around 2. He does not come back. His helper painted the room but did not complete the trim. On 3/1 his helper showed up with his family in *** (they have no baby sitter) but leave without coming in our house at 11. Mr. ***** came over around 1. We spoke face to face with about his inability to perform the job we contracted him to do in a timely manner. This 3 day job is entering 3 weeks and the only thing done is one room painted. He said he would finish it that week. He stayed several hours and did some priming of one room. 3/3 received a text saying he would be here at 1 and wanted to spray paint our occupied home with our belongings in it. That is something no reputable contractor would ever do. He came at 2. We asked him to come in so we could have a talk. He did not come in, he disappeared. We received a text saying we were not his employer and he could chose his own hours and was done working with us. Then he sent us an invoice for an additional $2614. I am stunned by his arrogance. In addition he switched out the ******* ******** paint that we chose for a cheaper Valspar paint and said he got it instead because it was cheaper. I am appalled that someone would have so little pride in his work.Business Response

So let me start off by saying ***** and his wife are going to every website the can find trying to hurt my business credibility in revenge for me filing a lien on their property for money Im owed. They e also submitted a FRAUDULENT chargeback. ***** and his wife contracted my company to do a job for them. To answer the part about the kids being there. One of my employees was asked if theyd be there tomorrow, tomorrow being a Saturday. He told the guys wife probably not because he had to watch his kids and he said he would have to bring his kid if he did. She said oh yeah thats not a problem at all. He was just trying to help.Glenns looking down and soleme and racist actions and remarks. I will never let someone treat my employees like that and Glenns actions caused this and ultimately causing delayNow ***** knows I had an obligation to take my mother for cancer treatments and I showed up after the 4 hrs of commute with taking my mother and he tells me not to bother unloading my things. If I wasnt to unload my tools I had no business there and needed to unload my tools somewhere else where I could use them Addressing the showing up late. My job and role in my company is to find and keep work to keep it moving foward and paychecks for my employees every Friday. Not sure why he thinks any different No refund because they still owe me for 2 custom vanity I had built plus the work completed is the price of the invoice ***** spoke about. Then not to leave out the contract part **** signed a contract with a clear stipulation saying refunds are not refundable for ANY reaso. Please also take notice this is the first complaint youve gotten and Ive done hundreds of jobs. I pride myself and my company on doing work the right way and making sure the customer is satisfied. I assume he thinks if he lies enough somebody may believe him.

I am rejecting this response because: Mr. ***** is untruthful in his response. I have posted on Yelp, ******, etc. because I feel it is my duty to caution my neighbors and community. Since I made this complaint Mr. ***** has sent me numerous texts and emails using the foulest of language and physical threats. He also sent a message to my wife using the most vile language you can direct to a woman. Not a very professional way to conduct business. When Mr. ***** quit the job it was after I told him not to bring in spray painting equipment. No professional would spray paint in an occupied home. Mr. ***** informed us of two days that he was taking his mother to the doctor and we were fine with that. But he also did not show up in a timely manner on all other days. He would leave here saying he would be here at 8:30 or 9:00 and not show up until noon or later. As for his help bringing the family, we were not asked. We thought we hired professionals. The credit card industry has avenues for people to have protection from unscrupulous merchants. This is my right and in no way fraudulent. I won't be called a racist because Mr. ***** leaves his worker here whom doesn't speak English and I cannot communicate with him. This how miscommunication occurs. Mr. ***** responded to us that he understood that having the workers wife and child here was unprofessional. As for the verbiage in the contract, we did not receive a contract. I signed a simple two page paper that spelled out the painting, two vanities and bar remodeling price of $8828 with 50% down. He was to bring us a copy but he never did. I know I would not have signed such a one sided contract. We never received received any vanities. One room was painted out of 7 but not finished. The bar was not completed. One room was partially primed. And that was all the work that was done before Mr. ***** quit.Business Response

Again **** I dont work for you. I run a business and my job in my business is to keep work coming. You hiring my company has nothing to do with me myself being on the jobsite. Furthermore professionals spray all the time in occupied homes. So when you told me to load my tools up then thats on you. You cant hire somebody to do a job and try to be their boss. Your best best would have been to hire a laborer. And yes your charge back is fraudulent I have a text from you saying that deposit should cover the vanities I paid to have build and you didnt owe me anything else. That *** is an unjust and fraudulent chargeback. Being ignorant of the law does not exempt you from it.Out of curiosity have you noticed that youre the only one posting negative reviews? Ive done hundreds of jobs and youre the first ****** so maybe that should tell you something. Youre not some construction justice warrior your angry you have a lien placed on your home and doing it for revenge. Plus that facts are *** built enough reputation in the community opposite of everything youre saying that your reviews wont hurt me at the end of the day so have at it. by the way since you wont answer any messages or calls your vanities are gathering a $75/week storage fee that is getting added to your tab every week as well as a 20% late fee from me. Just pay your debt already

I am rejecting this response because:
I stand by my previous statements. I would only add that I had to provide Mr. ***** and his worker with a ladder, two paint rollers, drill bits, hammer and vacuum. Most professionals bring their own tools of the trade. I have since spoken with three other professional painting contractors and the professionals at ******************************** They all stated that no professional would ever spray paint in an occupied home due to the impossibility of being able to tape off and cover everything in a home to protect it from overspray.
