I sent an inquiry for rehoming our lab mix and in the email I sent a picture of our dog. ***************************** responded and said that we should go to an all breed rescue instead because their rescue only take labs. So I told her AGAIN my dog is a lab and she proceeded to send me pictures of labs and what a full pitbull looks like as if I dont know that my dog is a lab mix. Also they advertise on ****** saying that they take in lab mixes so I feel that my dog was not considered just because she has pitbull in her. They also dont have a phone number because if they did, I would have called and told them it was very unprofessional what she did. I am not incapable or ignorant about what certain dogs look like and I did not appreciate her sending me pictures of dogs as I dont know what Im talking about. If they dont take lab mixes anymore, they should say so.

We receive ***** requests every day from owners who wish to surrender their dog. Our mission is to save dogs from shelters and we accept very few of these owner surrenders. It appears that ****** sent you a list of seven other all-breed local rescues to try. Hopefully one will be able to accommodate you now that you are too busy to care for your dog.

I adopted 2 pets from ********** On one puppy I received all the paperwork, documentation as promised. And the ****** mom gave me all the information needed as to what type of food and how many times a day, including when it was time to see the vet. But the other puppy that I adopted hot mess, disorganized, did not provide any info as to what food to give and when is the next scheduled vet visit. When asked, the response was, " in 7 days you will receive her records". Those records were not received until a month and a half later. And STILL waiting for her rabies tag, mind you I have had the puppy now 2 1/2 months. Today received a paper copy of the rabies tag. When I took my puppies to the vet they went crazy for them and asked where did I get them? My response, "Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them."

Your dog's records were delayed because you requested at least one additional vet appointment after adoption THAT WE PAID FOR. Our records indicate they were sent on 09-07-2022 and that you had multiple conversations with PLR staff confirming same. You may have read about the Vet and Vet staffing shortage currently affecting our area. We have no control over how quickly Vets dictate their visit notes and send records to us. We are experiencing significant delays. Your dog's rabies tag was lost somewhere between the shelter, the transport, the Vet, and the rescue. We adopt out 1,000 dogs each year. Occasionally that happens and replacements are easily procured at any Veterinarian. We are extremely disturbed by your failure to disclose your intent to adopt two puppies simultaneously. This is expressly against our policies. We are further disturbed by the fact that you now have two unaltered dogs of opposite sexes in your home. We would NEVER knowingly permit this. A request for proof of spay/neuter of each dog has been emailed to you. Please comply at your earliest convenience. Your actions, including posting an undeserved online review of a nonprofit that relies on volunteers, speaks for themselves.

So nice that you responded so quickly here. I should have communicated through here. You may be "currently" experiencing those issues but at the time that I adopted the pets, 2 1/2 months ago, there were no notification posted on PLR's website nor any direct communications by way of email, text or voice-mail of these issues occurring to PLR. Speaking of websites, you may need to post those restrictions that you indicated as well as inform the foster parent(s) of those "restrictions" and "policies". If you would have read/reviewed my APPROVED application, you would have had clarity of my interest and INTENT to adopt 2 (TWO) pets simultaneously. PLR had 5 (FIVE) missed opportunities to inform me of any "restrictions and/or policy infringements" and were clearly made aware of my INTENT. 1st one - my application request blatantly indicating wanting to adopt the 2 (TWO) siblings. 2nd one - face to face with the foster mom that had one of the siblings. Whereas I was only informed that the 2 (TWO) siblings cannot be adopted together because they would be difficult to train; NOT that it was against any " policies" or "restrictions" of adopting 2 (TWO) pets simultaneously, AND NO mention of the restrictions of the opposite sex. 3rd one - telephone conversation expressing my INTENT of adopting 2 (TWO) pets "simultaneously", and wanting a companion for the other pet. 4th one - when I found the other pet on PLR's website, I requested a meet and greet, the contact information was easily provided to me by the same person that provided me with the first contact information of the 1st pet. If "policies" and "restrictions" were in place, the second contact information would NOT have been provided. 5th one - face to face with the foster mom of the second pet. I informed her that I had adopted one of the siblings from PLR website. I asked her if "he" can come in to meet "her" companion. The foster mom was excited and immediately agreed because she wanted to meet "him" too. It was at this point and precise time the foster parent ( if aware of the PLR " policies" and "restrictions") to immediately stop me from proceeding with the adoption, especially knowing that they were of the opposite sex. PLR's adoption website clearly stipulates that "Vet records will be sent via Email within 7-10 days of adoption and dogs rabies tag and certificate via US mail within 2 weeks of adoption." I adopted pets on 08/14/2022. PLR states records were sent and received by me on 09/07/2022 (my records indicate 09/15/2022), which goes beyond the time stipulated on website. Found out today, through here, almost 3 months after adoption that the rabies tag were "lost". IF it is so "easy" to procure a replacement rabies tag at any veterinarian then PLR should have procured one with their preferred veterinarian upon "knowing" the tag was "lost". Your request for the spay/neuter records have been requested. Once I receive it, it will be mailed to PLR. Keep in mind, as you mentioned, I have no control over how quickly Vets dictate their visits and send records over. But rest assure you will not wait over 1 1/2 months for them. However, I will only mailing over the information for the female dog. The male as you may or may not "know" is not quite 6 months of age. Ensure that the foster parent(s) are aware of those "policies" and "restrictions" that you have indicated and post them on your website too. Still would NOT RECOMMEND PLR.
