This company was hired by my wife and I to install concrete and a metal building on our property. To date have paid them over $26,000.00. They made us pay for the concrete up front prior to doing the work. The issue with this is that they did not do the job correctly, the concrete is severely cracked, chipped and peeling up. We were told no warranty on concrete~ Really? It was not done properly! Then the building...First AGAIN you must transfer funds or pay "cash" before we will deliver the building package to you. Again forced to pay before we see what we are getting. The package arrived at our home after 8 PM the night before they were scheduled to start the installation. They installed the bent damaged half welded frame had to piece it together and weld because they did not stop and replace it with a new one like they should have! Then all of the panels are not the same color. We gave them an opportunity to correct it and they failed again. we have brought this to their attention again and the "owner" refuses to correct it. The panels are damaged bent paint chipped. They again replace some of them but there are still multiple panels that are damaged. We paid for first quality materials and I expect to get what I paid for. These folks are not delivering what they sold us! Then they threaten to come to our house to collect the measly amount of money they did not get up front! And put a lien on the building and they did not fulfill their obligation. Perhaps part of the problem they were drinking beer on the job site. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY ALSO WORK UNDER THE NAME OF CAROLINA CONCRETE AND CUSTOM CARPORTS. THEY ARE UNCAPABLE AND INCOMPETENT OF DOING THE WORK. THEY WERE GIVEN SEVERAL CHANCES TO MAKE THE CORRECTIONS AND FAILED EVERYTIME! The materials were paid in full on 7/18/24 and to date 9/4/2024 the building still is not completed. Absolutely Ridiculous! WE ARE HIRING SOMEONE COMPETENT TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE!Business Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We value all input, as it helps us improve our services. However, we would like to clarify a few points regarding your experience with us.
Upfront Payments for Materials and Concrete: As per our standard practice, and to secure materials and resources, we require upfront payments. This is clearly outlined in our contract. All funds were used directly for purchasing materials and arranging services for your project. He signed contract agreeing to payment terms before deposit was paidConcrete Work: While it's true that concrete does not come with a warranty due to the nature of the material and external factors beyond our control, we did come to an agreement to repair the issues with the concrete despite this. However, you have repeatedly withheld final payment and continued to change the terms of our agreements, which has made it difficult for us to proceed with the repairs as planned.
Equipment and Tools: Our team did request certain items on-site to facilitate the work, which is not uncommon. However, all major tools and equipment were provided by us.
Alcohol and Site Conduct: We take allegations of unprofessional behavior very seriously. However, it should be noted that the individual who was drinking beer on-site was, in fact, the customer. Our team remained professional throughout the project.
Damaged Frame and Installation Issues: Some damages occurred when frame were moved by the customer using a tractor while drinking. Despite this, we took responsibility and offered to repair them at no additional cost. We returned multiple times to make the necessary repairs and corrections.
Communication and Final Payment: We have made several attempts to resolve these issues and were willing to address any remaining concerns. However, new demands were repeatedly introduced, and we were not given a clear path to finalize the project and receive the agreed-upon final payment.
Additional Claims: We understand your frustration, but it is important to clarify that we never refused to address any legitimate concerns. We only requested the balance payment after making good faith efforts to correct any issues.
We always aim to provide quality service and are disappointed that this project did not meet your expectations. We would still like to find a resolution that is fair to both parties. We are open to further communication to close this matter amicably as you still owe $3500 of your project.
We also stopped by to have a conversation with the customer and to take photos of the building. (This is a common practice for us; we typically take photos of completed projects.) However, instead of engaging in a dialogue, she pulled out a gun. I should emphasize that at no point were we on her property..Initial Complaint

I hired this company to build a steel garage, I pre paid all the money except the final labor payment, which was due upon my inspection of the completed build. When they said they were done, there was many problems. The roof leaked , many of the steel panels were old , did not match and had rust spots. All the trim was bent and crooked, the concrete cracked severely and water poured in from all directions. They did attempt to fix many of the problems that were small, but refused to fix the major issues. When i would not pay anymore money till the problems were corrected, they attempted to steal my building from my property. They said they were going to tear it down and I had to stop them with the sheriff's department. All i want is what I originally paid for, nothing else. I've given this company more than enough time to make this right and it looks like it's time to use the court system to make this company responsible!Business Response

The crew that arrived on site to begin installation of the metal structure was a crew that was in training. A supervisor was on site and did address some issues the customer wasn't happy with.
The customer was adamant that he wanted most of the panels swapped out because of small, minutely noticeable scratches. He was scared that there could be The sheeting of the buildings is covered under warranty, in the case that these issues arise. Currently there are no rust issues with the materials.
The customer was also upset because of the concrete and building having areas that had mud on them. The entire area surrounding the structure was red mud. It is very unreasonable to ask that the building be completely free of dirt/mud when the installation surface consists of it.
Other than replacing every panel on the structure, all of the issues have been addressed.
Ultimately, Mr. **** refused to pay the final amount because of cracks on the concrete. Although the concrete is sold without warranty, David (one of the owners) was willing to sign documents agreeing to fix any future issues with the concrete resulting from the crack he was made aware of.
Customer contacted other concrete companies regarding his concerns. Either way, there isn't any concrete companies that warranty, or offer guarantees against concrete cracks. Concrete WILL crack. It is unavoidable. The severity of these cracks does depend on placement of expansion joints and also the level of care that customers provide to their concrete pad to help minimize this.
The process for Non-payment / withholding the last payment is removal of the structure, leaving the materials on site because the material check has been received. The last payment, which a lot of customers fail to realize, is the installers pay for installation of the metal building. That is why we disassemble the structure, because it is what the customer refused to pay, "the installation fee". This is the last resort after trying to come to a resolution with the customer.
Mr. **** did in fact sign a contract stating that he understood there was no warranty on the concrete, and also the results of withholding payment for any step in the process.Initial Complaint

L&G building built me a building under their other business name ******** ******** *** ****** ********. They originally promised the building to be done in May of 2022. They finished the building in August of 2022. The concrete was cracked the day it was poured. We contacted them about it and they promised to come and repair it. It was never repaired. The concrete was poured in February. They schedule to install the building on the concrete in May. They never showed up. I called and they stated they were running two weeks late. This continued for the next three months with them promising me a date and not showing up. They finally installed the building in August. The crew that installed the building did not have the stoppers for the roll up garage doors. I told them if they would mail me the stoppers I would install them to save them the trouble. They agreed. It is now December 2022 and I have messaged the company multiple time and the promised to mail me the stoppers in November and I have not received them and they will not respond to me anymore. The doors are inoperable without them as they get stuck in the up position if you open them. You have to get a 12 foot ladder and go to the top of the door and put it back in the track to close them. I need them to send me the stoppers.Business Response

Signed contract on 7/1/21 to have garage built by L and G Building and Concrete after almost a year finally got concrete poured by them this June on June 16 contacted them and told them my building permit runs out the end of August. They said they would put me on books to have building put up first of August never heard anything from them at that time emailed them on August 15 to ask about when building we be installed told them they had lied to me again about building never heard anything back from them. Called on August 17 spoke to secretary said the person I had been contacting Jazmine was out with coviod and she would have building manager contact me still waiting on that call as no one has tried to contact me. Called again Aug 29 was told Jazmine was busy and would have her call me no one has called again. Emailed her again Aug 30 with no response again. My building permit runs out today and this will be the third one I have had to pay for plus they have 2900.00 dollars of my money for down payment to have building installed by them and only thing I have is a concrete slap in my yard waiting on them for over a year to put this in for me is no excuse. I know they will use excuse of not being able to get building supplies and workers. With in a year they should have every thing they need to do this. Plus I think they need to pay for my building permit that I need to renew again. But they will say that I had no permits required this a permit with my state and county so they know I am putting a building on my property for property tax purposes is all it is. If they don’t want to do this just give me my money back that I payed them and I will find someone else that will do it for me. Looking at there web site they have put up a lot of other building in a lot less time then what it is taking them to put mine up. I think I should be at r he top of the list and not someone that just ordered one three months agoBusiness Response

We are working as best as we can to get to everyone in a timely manner. We are working in order and have started to work on the batch of buildings that you are in. Once we have a crew available, we will contact you to schedule building installation. We understand that you are frustrated because you had some delays with your ground prep before we could begin our end of construction.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
My ground prep work delay has nothing to do with this I was told by you all I would be put on books for first of August for you all to put building up it’s the 2 nd of sept. And my permit has run out again this the third one you all have cost me. It’s been over a year since the contract was signed and has been nothing but lies from you all on this. My building should be there waiting to be brought up here and put up. By looking at other disputes this is what you are telling everyone. No excuse for any of this I had to fight for three months just to get you up here to pour concrete you told me then it would be end of march first of April never got here till June. Now your doing same thing with building I seen where you have but other buildings up and they was ordered way after mine. I should be on top of list not the bottom for getting building upBusiness Response

The concrete was rescheduled due to inclement weather in your area and that was explained. Again, we are working as best as we can to get to everyone. We will contact you as soon as we have a crew available.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
Yes I was delayed one time due to weather other times it was you all saying it was raining here when it was not. That does not have anything to do with building be put up now you told me first of August and it is September 2 now and you will not answer any emails or phone calls from me. You need to pay for this building permit that you are costing me to pay for the third time. But I already know you answer to that you say I said no permits required like I have told you before it’s just so county here knows I’m butting in a building for property tax purpose that is all. Quit trying to blame me for all this and take some of the blame yourself. Only delay I had was getting ground work done but I was ready in October of last year you had whole month of October thru December when weather was still decent where you could have poured concrete but you never even tried then I had to keep calling just to get any answers from you. You all are the problem now no me I’m here waiting but you want step to get it done my time is just as valuable as yours is. There have been people that has asked me about my building who is doing it and I tell them not to even bother they are not a reputable company. My friend that had you all install one has been tell the people the same thing due to my problems with you all. Just come and put my building up and I will leave you all alone unless there is a problem with it.Initial Complaint

Contract started 2/2/22 I signed a $31k contract with this company for a carport and concrete building and. Was told 4-6 months for completion. They would call and ask me to take off work to be there for the guys and I would and then no one would show up or even call to tell me they weren’t coming. Then after 3 attempts they finally showed up to work they forgot to bring equipment, they did not complete the job , after telling me it was complete. Had I not caught that it was not in fact complete they would have never fixed the issues and still charged me for them. They destroyed my yard leaving trash, material scraps, and huge ruts in my yard that I had to pay to have fixed. It has now been almost 7 months and still no building, I was told it would be installed 6/1/22, then 7/1/22 and also 8/1/22 with no building and still no form of contact. Paid deposit of building $4,567.80 on 2/8/22 Paid concrete $11,014.00 04/2022 I’ve contacted them several times about my concerns and complaints and they are ignored completely and don’t address them at all. I have paid for my concrete and it is complete but have been blatantly lied to several times this company should not be allowed to conduct business in this manor in todays time. They refuse to try and amend any issue and it has to stop. I’ve told them I was going to be in touch with BBB and review sites if no form of contact has been made and still no return emails or calls. I want them to cancel my contract for the building and return my deposit listed above. I don’t need an apology at this point but simply wish to pay someone with a shred of dignity and moral decency to complete my project.Business Response

Went with this company almost 1 year ago for a building paid the down payment was fine with the agreement was told within 6 months would have a building. Here we are almost 1 year later since contract was signed and still no building. I understand the whole materials and people quit and move on. You can’t get a straight answer from this company it’s always a run around with them. They have no work ethic apparently and when called out they make an excuse.. waiting on them to call you or answer a question is a nightmare!!!! I also see I am not the first person to file a complaint and I’m sure I will not be the last!!!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
To many excuses made I understand weather and certain issues but when signed the original contract was told they had the building onsite and had it ready when the weather and concrete would be available then.
