Did a neuropsych eval on my child, but 3 years later would not stand by their assessment (dyslexia) to advocate for test accommodations unless we did another evaluation. Additionally, the short life of the report was very much not made clear to us at the time of assessment, or we would have planned for it.Will likely have to use them again, but do so only because at this point we basically have no choice. Sad to have used them, would advise actively avoiding.

******* ******, ***** chose to charge my 17-year-old son who has autism $120 for his very first missed appointment after two prior visits. It was a personal choice and an unprofessional one. When it's your job to help guide young people into adulthood I would have expected more skill, sensitivity and flexibility from someone in the mental health profession who chooses to work with young people. This situation should have been used as a teaching moment filled with communication to help my son understand the cost to others. My son is upset. He feels betrayed. He feels like someone he was supposed to trust was only in it for the money. Unfortunately ******* ****** has made my son question his value. My son does not often feel comfortable in one-on-one situations and he thought he had found a friend. The referral to this office came from my son's school counselor whom I will be contacting and voicing my concerns so other parents/children will look elsewhere for care. I should have read the reviews or else I would have known better than to bring my son here.

Don't follow through... don't keep their word...leaves one wondering about the quality/commitment of the staff...after testing we had a telehealth meeting with one *************************, who went over testing results and told us we would have a written report within a few weeks.... despite several calls...we have received nothing...we have an appointment with Duke Memory 10/17...contacted ACAPS again last week... still no response... would not recommend to anyone seeking competent, professional medical services..

My husband and I paid over $2k for testing, as his neurologist referred him (he has Alzheimer's). After 6 hours of testing over 2 days and 16 hours in drive/waiting time for both of **, we received NOTHING. No written report. There was a very general, short tele-report with the promise of a written report to follow. That was in August 2022. This is a scam business. We're taking them to court.

The individuals who work there are very nice, but beware of their billing. They have a company policy to NEVER send bills in any form at all -- no text messages, no emails, no paper copies. They have told me this during multiple phone conversations. You are expected to somehow know when their bills are processed from insurance and then posted on their portal. Then they hold your documents hostage until you pay all bills that they NEVER EVER notified you of existing. We were there for one time testing, so there was no reason whatsoever for us to be looking at their portal after the testing was complete. I would have had no problem going online to pay, but I needed to know the bill existed. I honestly don't have a clue how they stay in business. I have never dealt with any company with such an insane policy. The funniest part is that one person told me they have problems with people not paying bills. Ummmmmm.

I am/was a patient at this practice I'm having the same awful experience with them. I did the testing and was told the results would be made available to me and my doctor within a short period of time. I did get a verbal report via phone and promised a written report to follow. Months later - still no written report to take to my doctor and get started on a treatment plan. I'm at a stand still waiting on their report so don't know what to do next. I've called, begged, pleaded for the written version on what the doctor read to me via Telehealth.
UPDATE: AFTER waiting another 2 months, They told me I owed them $35. I imagine my insurance has paid them a handsome amount already. Ok, I'll pay (feels like my report is being held ransom). Here's the link to pay they say. BUT YOU CANT! It doesn't work. I've worked in computers for 20 years - there is no help link, no number to call. Nothing. I did call Their office and was given a run around. No one knows what they are doing there. They have collected a ton from my insurance but they are withholding my report for $35 they say I owe BUT there is no way to pay them. Don't waste your time. Apparently they collect insurance money and the find an excuse not to deliver the results. THIS IS A MEDICAL PRACTICE?? Don't waste your time.

Rude and unprofessional. Extremely ridiculous intake process- extraneous paperwork that would be better and more efficiently handled with a single intake interview, and extremely long wait times. Bizarre exam procedure and staff, and I have little confidence their screening has any real evaluatory value because of the way it is performed. After having had to call THEM to find out if they had processed our intake paperwork, then waiting 3 to 4 months if not longer for the inital appointment and screening process to be complete, Dr ********************** specifically *hung up on me* because my daughter chose not to attend to receive her results because she didn't want to miss school. We were not informed beforehand that she was required to attend, and my daughter signed an ROI, so she and I both assumed I could attend in her place. She was not required to be present at the inital appointment, and I am the one seeking services on her behalf, and a release of information allows the parties named to recieve results on the behalf of the signer.I have 2 other children who have been screened for ASD and ADHD elsewhere and did not experience any of these issues or weird processes. If a child were coming here to be screened for depression with suicidal ideation or self harm, what could potentially happen to that child in the course of this amount of time and this amount of rude incompetency by staff?? This has taken on the order of a year now to have my daughter recieve services and help, and she is now 2 months away from high school graduation.People who feel that the nuerodiverse, those who are in need of help for their mental health issues, and/or their carers can be subjected to such callous treatment should seriously reconsider their chosen career field, as well as should actively seek the same services they are under the delusion they are capable of providing to others.
