    I took my truck in to have my rear bumper repaired. I was quoted $1000.00 charge.I went to pick it up and it looks worse than ever.... and then they even charged me $1245.00 cash!

    I told him the vehicle needed a replacement bed, tailgate, bumper, brackets and tail lamp. But that I could try my best to straighten out the bed for as cheap as possible, 
    The estimate was $1000 plus the bumper brackets and hardware. The original estimated Bumper was not available. Only one I could find was a little more expensive.
    The total cost for the whole job was going to be $1245. I let the customer know.
    He was totally fine with that on the phone, he paid in full.
    We worked on this vehicle for over 21 hours. But I only charged him just over three hours at $75 an hour, so $250 labor for the whole job. 
    The other $995. Was parts and included $150 to paint and clearcoat the new bumper.

    His original complaint was for the rear bumper, which was the work that we were paid to do. And the rear bumper is brand new and fits perfectly. He is requesting a refund, though it is not clear for what or how much. From the picture that he sent his only complaint is s**** placement used to attach the tail light. I re shaped the damaged parts best I could to fit the new parts. Which is exactly what I did. I assume he is unsatisfied because we didnt repair the bedside to new condition and also so the tail light would fit properly, which I feel is it in impossible task, seeing how badly damaged his truck was.
    We have gone out of our way to help this customer. And he feels like we have taken advantage of him, which is false.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I would like to state that the rear door on the bed of my truck will only close 30 percent now, not fully.

     

    I am willing to accept half of what I paid for the repair to settle this matter fully.

     

    I would also like to state that I was quoted the cost of $1,000.00 for the repair of my truck's bumper but was charged $1250.00 cash when I went to pick it up.

    ** backed into a tree and wrecked his truck. These continuing accusations are absurd. 

    I will offer no refund whatsoever for the new parts or our labor, we worked hard on his truck. His complaints have nothing to do with the job that we were paid to do.

    He did not pay to repair and paint the tailgate or the Bedside. Those are his two complaints now, which have nothing to do with the job that I was paid to do. Only to straighten the damaged parts to fit the new parts.

    His first complaint on here was that we messed up his bumper, and it looks worse than ever, but as you can see in the photos the bumper is Brand New. ( should have been cased closed) Then, in his second complaint, he is pointing to a s**** that is attaching a tail light, because nothing else would hold it in properly. Finally now he is complaining about his tailgate. Again, we had nothing to do with the tail gate whatsoever.

    However, I am a young honest christian *** with a big heart, not like him, he yells and cusses, and makes a big scene at my business in front of everyone, to try to get his way, no matter how unfounded his accusations are.

    I would offer a refund if I were responsible of wrong doing. But again I feel that weve gone out of our way to help this *** and theres nothing we can do to make it right, other than return his money, which would be unfair to us.

    He hasnt offered to return any of the new parts to get a refund on the bumper, the brackets or bolts or the tail light. And that was the labor we charged them to install those parts. If I hadnt pulled the bed out straight, the parts would never fit on there.
