  As a senior of *********************************************** 2000 for my choice of a Deltec Home. The year my husband and I spent in research, design and forward prep was well worth the time and energy that went into this. Our backgrounds of construction familiarities prepared us for change and complete interruptions of supply and demand in materials. All items that we felt we could not live without were purchased and stored until needed in that phase of construction. Our admired 18-sided polygon still remains today as if it was almost new while withstanding multiple hurricanes as high as 175 mph, lightning strikes and tornadic weather all designed for such coastal unpredictable weather scenes. It still maintains its original truth of energy savings keeping my 3-story 3800+ sq ft home with electric bills rarely over $200 a month while providing the ultimate view with 66 windows and doors. I continue to feel blessed with the gift of my Deltec home. **************

  Our family has had a great experience with Deltec, from design to post-construction. *** and **** are always available to answer our questions and to help address any of our concerns. We love our Deltec home and will definitely use Deltec for all our future home building needs.

  To BBB. We had a positive building experience with Deltec homes in *********, **. The hands on help with building sight layout, cost estimate, and construction from a representative of Deltec **************** for our personal home was exceptional! We learned about Deltec visiting a local home show & a free breakfast seminar. We love our Deltec home & refer our building experience and our home to others often. I'm a retired ********* and was sold on the quality of materials and building methods which include energy efficiency savings & comfort. We are very proud of being a part of the worldwide Deltec family.

  Twelve years ago I built a Deltec home. In every possible way my building experience with Deltec was positive, from the conscientious guidance by the staff to the materials that Deltec used. And I can say that after 12 years I am happier living in my Deltec home than even when it was brand new. The home is so rock solid, due to the engineering that Deltec puts into each home. My home has not settled at all, as many stick homes do. Every door still closes perfectly. And when winds in my mountains blow hard, I look out and see the trees bending but I feel nothing. I hear nothing. The bottom line is that the home is holding up extremely well. It has required almost no maintenance...mostly the light bulb here and there or batteries in the smoke alarms. The normal stuff. After my home was built the town inspector said, "I think your home will still be standing when every other home is gone." I can now believe him.

  WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE. FROM THE IN HOUSE SEMINAR , WORKING WITH THE DESIGN AND SALES PEOPLE TO RECEIVING THE FINISHED PRODUCT, EVERYTHING WAS 5 STARS.TO QUOTE MY BUILDER THE PRODUCT AND WORKMANSHIP WAS THE BEST HE HAS EVER SEEN. INSTRUCTIONS WDERE CLEAR AND SIMPLE AND THERE WERE NO SUPRISES OR MATERIAL SHORTAGE. IF I HAD TO BUILD ANOTHER HOME THERE IS NO QUESTION WHERE I WOULD GO! THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL HOME ****************

  Deltec was the most wonderful corporation we have ever dealt with!They answered our questions, guided us thru the caos of building and were available to our contractors when they didnt have a clue. My Deltec house had NO damage in the *** 5, Hurricane ******* 5 1/2 yrs ago, in ************, *******. We were hit head on/ground 0 and this beach community was blown away. I cannot say enough about how outstanding this *************** is! I would redo everything all over again with Deltec.

  Our personal experience tells us that it is incomprehensible for a company that markets itself with such high ideals and promises of quality could fail so spectacularly. Our ongoing 5 yr. nightmare with Deltec left us with no choice but to file a lawsuit. We feel many serious problems with our build originated during the shell construction in Deltecs (DHI) Asheville factory. Just a small sample of the myriads of problems and terrible service we've experienced: Out of square factory installed windows in structural panels make them nearly impossible to open. DHI failed to install code required flashing above the windows and doors. Flashing is a basic component of Green ********* When we brought this to the President of DHI's, attention, he tried to brush it off claiming a design change in the factory had rendered the flashing unnecessary. We did our own research and as suspected, found his explanation lacked merit. Despite refuting his dubious statement, he continued to ***** accountability, forcing us to file a complaint with the ********************** It took a State Field Investigator citing DHI for the code violation to force the President to address the issue. I still wonder why a company promoting itself as a Premier Green ******* would force a customer to file a complaint to get them to correct a deficient condition so basic to effective green building as flashing around windows and doors. The poorly executed flashing repairs that followed took place under direct supervision of DHIs president yet caused additional damage to a substantial amount of siding, trim, windows, decking etc. which he refused to satisfactorily correct. The 10s of thousands of dollars in collateral damage is now included in our lawsuit. In our opinion, while Deltec might talk a good game, our reality has been the polar opposite. As Senior citizens we never imagined that we would be forced to waste our sunset years having to stand up for ourselves against such horrible treatment.
