The technician removed my gasket to the engine and my car wouldn't run . They offered me no help.

i called the phone number for the BBB in ************** a couple of weeks ago because my Director of Operations was also responding to this claim and believe video footage was provided and explanation of why we were denying the claim.  i never received a call back to try and make that clarification.  i realize that now the lines may be down with the impacts of Hurricane ****** but have just gotten to where i can get internet so am responding.

The footage of the service completed at the time for Ms. ****** did not show the removal of any gasket located on the engine. The correct amount of oil and coolant for the vehicle were added and the new engine air filter was installed correctly. Lastly, the oil level was presented to and verified to be at a safe level with the customer before they left. At **********************, safety checks are completed at the time of each service by a different tech than who completed the service, which was completed for this visit. These are the reasons for the denial of this claim.

My name is ******************************* and a few weeks ago on the 28th of July we had the oil changed In my car for a vacation trip. The next morning we were heading on vacation when my car shut off in middle of the road and wouldnt start back. We got the car towed home and since then we have gotten several different mechanics to take a look at the vehicle both resulting in the same diagnosis that the engine was seized and the cause was from the oil being so overfilled it spewing on engine. *** tried to reach out with no response on solving this issue without having to get an attorney involved but Im not having any progress. I really need someone to contact me about resolving this matter and getting the vehicle repaired. Thanks so much and I look forward to speaking with someone soon. Thanks, *******************************

We were originally unable to locate the customer's invoice since a different last name was used on the invoice.  Yesterday(8/29) we did locate the invoice from the customer and reached out to them since we did not have any record of them previously contacting the shop about this complaint.  We have video footage showing the correct amount of oil being put in the vehicle and all steps and safety checks at the conclusion of the service were completed as well as correct amount of oil verified with the customer in the video footage.  We would dispute the claim that the vehicle was overfilled with oil based on the video evidence from the service.  We are in the process of uploading the video's and making them available for the customer to review.

I am rejecting this response because:
When the mechanic looked at the car he confirmed the oil was over filled by a-lot, after talking to the manager at take 5 he accused us of topping it off with oil or adding more to the vehicle which never happened! It was fine before the oil change. Im not satisfied and I will be seeking legal action to get the repairs needed for the vehicle.

The customer has the right to pursue whatever action they would like to in regards to the matter.  When brought to our attention through the BBB we contacted the customer, reviewed the video evidence and provided that information to the customer.  We stand by our service and confirmed the service was completed per our process and the video evidence and do not believe the oil change performed on 7/28 led to any current issues the customer may be having with their vehicle.

Have been promised since September 20th a district manager or manager for this location would return a phone call about damage under my vehicle by a terminated employee. On September 29th ******** stated that he is the new manager and was very rude and unhelpful. I have repeatedly asked for the district manager's contact information and he refused to provide it. He also refused to honor my military discount because I did not have my DD214 on my person. Although the several vehicles I've had serviced here over the past many months since they opened have all received the discount and the discount is noted on my file. ******** stated thats his policy. My vehicle was damaged on September 18th by the previously mentioned terminated employee and I've got nothing but a run around from this location. Last weekend ** promised me I would be called by the manager or district manager on Monday. A week later still nothing.
