I am rejecting this response because:

Its really shameful that this person had to lie but honestly I would expect nothing less from this company.

I started going to Asheville eye because of my excessive tearing so when she says THEN I started having an issue is a complete fabrication, with my FIRST appointment there was issue  that is why I went there in the first place, and you can see that when the practitioner charged me for an emergency visit but I guess when this person researched this she failed to noticed that? ( again no surprise)

I started going to the ******** office because it was the closest, I then went to the Sylva for a second opinion and then a exam, with your practitioners saying everything from dry eye to possibly allergic to my contact lens, which was probably the funniest one, even myself not being in the field knew that one was out there, after seeing another one of your practitioners who recommended  I see the new surgeon that was coming on, so when she says about me going to all these locations that is why.

I also went to see an ENT in Asheville who was referred by your surgeon you forgot to mention that one.

The other one in ***** was when I could not get any help from Asheville Eye, so yes this ONE  was not affiliated with Asheville Eye Associates but after going to Asheville eye ******** times I did not have much of a choice but to go elsewhere, so your response is just a representation of this place, I will NEVER step foot in any Asheville Eye establishments again,  and hopefully save ONE person from going to such an  useless practice the time I wasted with this place I can never get back, absolutely disgusting.

performed it! So I called my insurance and found out she lied they did get paid for most of the surgery, they needed to provide an additional two codes and they would have been paid in full, yet NO ONE from the office even tried to get information on this matter! And I found out that as a doctor he is in network ( she said he wasnt) but he has to change the name of the practice he is now at, how incompetent can you be? So I called the coordinator back and told her all of this and tried to also call the manager of billing insurance, I am still waiting on a call back from both of them! Mind you this surgery coming up at the end of the month I have had to get a friend from a different state to come and drive and stay with me over night, I have secured a puppy sitter for a week when I am healing, yet I now dont even know if I am scheduled anymore ! This practice is absolutely horrible and it really makes me scared for people who are coming here for serious issues!

    Business Response

We have seen this patient on multiple occasions and have communicated each step of the way.  She was not misdiagnosed however continues to go to different offices and schedules with different doctors including even an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist and Mountain Eye Associates in *****, ***  These practices are not part of Asheville Eye Associates.  She then developed issues with her tear duct and was scheduled with our Plastics specialist who began in August 2024 and was not credentialed for her insurance at the time.  She was communicated with and offered to reschedule.  We offered her a lower fee and to do in our office (self pay).  We also offered to refer her to ********* and ************ (credentialed).  I am not sure what else we can do for this patient.  We have communicated and treated to the best of our ability.

    Thank you,
