I had problem with my heat pump 09/05/2022. Bolton technician looked at it 09/07/2022. Advised me later in the day that it would be 2-4 months until the required part could be obtained or I could replace my $11,000-2 year-old-unit (installed 06/20/2020). It is an unacknowledged Trane product defect, so I contacted Trane. I was assigned an escalation specialist 09/27/2022. Trane will not admit defect but agreed that 2-4 months was an excessive amount of time to wait for a part. Escalation rep contacted Bolton for the part identifier on 09/30/2022. Bolton could not provide that information. Escalation rep and I kept pushing Bolton to get the part, it was identified and ordered on 10/07/2022, available 10/11/2022 and installed 10/12/2022. I got my heat pump fixed because I pursued things. Bolton was going to let me be without heat in my home until November or January. I spoke to ***************************** on 10/12/2022 after my repair was complete. He provided plenty of excuses about how they do not know part numbers and are at the mercy of Trane and they were told it would be 2-4 months and there is not one single thing they could possibly do about that. So if Bolton ordered the part on 09/07/2022, then why when contacted on 09/30/2022 was Bolton unable to provide a part number, order number or any of that type of information? Why after being pushed by the escalation rep and myself was there a part id and an order placed on 10/07/2022. Bolton was recommended by a neighbor who is a Trane engineer. They would not try to scam a Trane employee but Bolton was trying to scam me. Because I went through Trane, I caught it and prevented it. Homeowners beware if you employ Bolton Construction.

Hi ******. After our conversation yesterday I spoke with ******** at Trane Parts off of ****************. ******** confirmed that our technician did order the correct part for you on 9/7/22. The same day that we diagnosed the problem with your HVAC system. You are welcome to call their store and confirm **************. Using the model and serial of the equipment, we are able to order the correct replacement parts. A Trane part identification number was not given to us upon placing the order, nor is it something that is required in order to obtain replacement parts. I do agree with you entirely about the part lead time. Our local representative told us 2 to 4 months, and that is entirely too long to go without heat. Unfortunately, we have little control over manufacturers or the estimated shipping dates communicated to us. I'm extremely pleased that you were able to contact ******, the Trane 'Escalation Specialist' and get the part within weeks instead of months. What bothers me is that we, as the contractor, were told one thing by *****, then you get in touch with someone else who tells you something different. If there is a way for us to expedite replacement parts quicker, that something we need to know. I put in a call to ****** yesterday, the Trane specialist you spoke with. I'd like to know how she made this happen. If we can get parts faster than we are told by our local supplier, that's something we need to do. I am waiting for a call back, but so far she has not contacted me. I'll try her again today. Hopefully your persistence will open up new connections for us to deliver replacement parts faster for future customers.
