    I was a patient of Oasis Recovery Center in August of 2024 and paid $24,000 in cash for my the full cost of my treatment with the agreement that Oasis would file an insurance claim with my insurance provider (**********************) for the cost of the treatment provided, and any proceeds received by Oasis would be refunded to me given I had already paid in full. Oasis received approval from **** for this claim on my behalf, and also received payment from **** for a portion of the cost of my treatment in the fall of 2024. I have been attempting to contact **** for several months by phone, email, text, and even an in person visit, and have received zero response from anyone at Oasis. They have simply disregarded my attempts, I guess in the hopes that I forgot about this or let it go, but they have frauded both BGBS and me out of thousands of dollars. Please reach out to me to discuss my options to remedy this situation.

    To Mr. ********************** you for bringing this issue to our attention. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration caused by a lack of a timely response to this request for refund. We take all complaints seriously, and are committed to providing the highest level of services.

    After investigating this matter, we have determined that a refund, totaling the amount of $16,640 is due. Below is a breakdown of how that total has been determined:

    Total amount paid by the customer: $24,800

    Coaching services (not covered by insurance): $1,800
    Program Fee (not covered by insurance): $1,800
    Balance due patient amount (deductible): $4,560
    Total: $8,160

    $24,800 - $8,160 = $16,640 refund due.

    To resolve this issue, a refund check for the amount listed above ($16,640) was issued on March 5, 2025.

    We understand that this issue has caused undue frustration, and we take full responsibility for the error in issuing this refund in a timely and professional manner. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we fell short of our usual standards. Please understand that we are implementing process improvements in order to avoid similar mistakes from happening in the future.
