On April 23, 2025 I contacted this business to cut a tree off of my house. The guy showed up, encouraged me to call my insurance because he thought there was damage to my roof so I did. I filed a claim and he stood there while I did it. He said to sign his work agreement saying I would pay which was sent to me on my cell phone so I couldn't really read it. He Indicated this was an emergency case. I had been in the ** 2 days before for extreme vertigo and was still having a great difficulty while this was happening. I remember telling him if I passed out to call an ambulance. I did not know what I was signing and I trusted this person to be honest with me. I went back inside and laid down while I waited for his workers to show up and do the job. While they did the job I stayed inside still not feeling well. Later when I went outside I noticed they had removed the tree. While I had been on the phone with the insurance company they had told me make sure that it was left in the driveway for the adjuster to see and I had relayed that to ***. I only later found out that they were charging me $7200 which was sent to me when I requested an invoice so that I could send it to my adjuster. The insurance company has since paid me $490 and I have a $500 deductible for a total of $960. They refuse to accept the payment and keep saying they are going to sue my insurance company for the full amount but I cannot verify that they have since contacted them. I have now found out that what I signed let's them place a lien on my property and there is no way I have the funds to pay the rest. Not only will they not accept the payment from my insurance but they will not provide me anything in writing that they are not going to come after me. This tree was small, took less than an hour to take off the house and there was no resulting damage to my roof. I have attached pictures of the tree and the payment info from my insurance company.
