Took my dog to urgent vet last night and this place tried to charge $750 before even touching my dog. Charged $125 for an exam that was never received and $81 for a test that they wont show me results to. I believe they are charging for services not being rendered and I ended up paying $300 for them yell at me in the middle of the office.

I took my cat to the urgentvet in *******, ** on Saturday, November 19th. The night before I took her she was acting very weird. That morning I took her, she passed out and seemed like she was dead. About a minute later she woke up, and seemed confused. I took her to the urgentvet and told them what all happened. The first thing the doctor told me was that her heart was fine and that her heart wasnt an issue. They did x-rays, and bloodwork. The doctor showed me the x-rays, said again her heart was fine. That it was her lungs and it was asthma. They also gave her two shots, one was a steroid. They said it would help her air waves open up and shed be fine. They charged me $859.31 for all that. Later that night I was checking on her and she passed out, gasping for air. I called the urgentvet back and spoke to the same doctor. She said my cat was having an asthma attack to take her to a local animal hospital in ******, **. So I took her, and they told me that they had no idea what the urgentvet was talking about. Her problem was that she was having heart failure, and what seemed like a stroke at times. The doctor at the animal hospital seemed confused at what the urgentvet said and did. The doctor said that the steroid shot didnt help my cat with her situation. Me and my wife sadly had to put her down. We didnt even have much time to say goodbye to her. She started to have a stroke, so we had to put her down immediately. *** tried talking to a manger at the urgentvet, they said they can only give me $224.67 back, which that was refunded to me on Wednesday December 23rd. What i believe is just the cost for the initial exam, and shots. They will not give me a full refund. I really feel like I deserve one, especially since my cat was not only misdiagnosed, and had to suffer for many hours than she needed to. But we were given false hope that she would be fine. Is there anything that could be done for me to get help in my situation? Thanks.
