Robco Residential was hired by S&B *********** Ventures to install ******** trim and roofing for my house. A quote of $8,900, provided by **** included "Labor and materials to install all hardboard soffit, facia, freeze boards, crown, siding on dormers, beaded porch ceiling to brick home". **** did not honor his quote for labor and material and charged $13,500. Even then, his installers did not complete the job or install the material per manufacture specs. I do not have any warranty on material because in is installed incorrectly(no flashing or felt at masonry) as confirmed with the ******** representative. S&B *********** Ventures had someone else install what Robco wouldn't honor at an additional cost of $10,000. Even when asked to correct to manufacture requirements, Robco has done nothing. I have been quoted $15,000 to remove/install/correct the trim properly to manufacture specs so that I would have a warranty. There are issues with the roofing installation too. There are areas where OSB sheathing is exposed and not covered properly by flashing. I have been quoted $2,650 to correct these issues. I was also overcharged by about 10 squares of material($1,500) for the roof, based on a professional takeoff completed and provided to S&B *********** Ventures. On top of that, the front porch roof was to be metal. This was called out in the plans, was a known selection that was ignored. ****** even provided a brochure and asked me to pick out what I wanted for the metal roof. His installers did not do this and the porch roof is asphalt shingles. This was $1,462 of roofing that's not correct spec and not what we wanted. For Robco to be in business over 30 years as a professional company, they don't follow manufacture requirements for warranty, know how to do a proper takeoff for material counts, or manage the installers for a correct installation of systems. I want a refund for the cost it is going to take to correct all the issues caused, $19,150.Business Response

Comment on Statement
I cannot get into details on these said issues. We were hired by builder, S&B *********** Ventures to perform work on this home. We were not hired by the McSwains. I have contacted the builder, they informed me that they are in a lawsuit with the McSwains. As for the siding - it was installed per manufacturers recommendation. Few issues with Miratec Trim was found. The regional rep. instructed us what needed to be done and we sent service crew to correct it, upon arrival ****************** told the crew he did NOT want us working there. Builder was notified. He told us not to return to perform any service until notified. As for the roofing, all is complete and as for being 10 sq. over...It is NOT true. It took exactly what I quoted and was accepted, before installation. Yes, there were areas on the home that was supposed to get metal. At the time the metal was ready to install I was contacted by the Builder to keep shingles on the area - that the McSwains wanted to have shingles, they were out of funds and could not put metal on at that time. This was 2 1/2 years ago. To my understanding this home is still not finished. We were paid for services we did do & completed, by the Builder. I recommend Mr. ******** statement be erased. These issues are between ******* & Builder, NOT Robco
Respectfully, ***************************

I am rejecting this response because:I cannot get into details on these said issues. We were hired by builder, S&B *********** Ventures to perform work on this home. We were not hired by the McSwains. I have contacted the builder, they informed me that they are in a lawsuit with the McSwains.
You did the work on the house.
As for the siding - it was installed per manufacturers recommendation. Few issues with Miratec Trim was found. The regional rep. instructed us what needed to be done and we sent service crew to correct it, upon arrival ****************** told the crew he did NOT want us working there.None of this is true. I have direct communication with the rep stating it is not installed per manufacture requirements and thus has no warranty. Your crew showed up on 6/22/23 with trim trying to match color to paint and asking me what needed to be done. I explained to them and their response was they needed to talk with ****. No one has come back to address issues.
Builder was notified. He told us not to return to perform any service until notified.
Glad to know that when they say jump, you say how high and disregard what should be done to correct your issues.
As for the roofing, all is complete and as for being 10 sq. over...It is NOT true. It took exactly what I quoted and was accepted, before installation.
It was brought to attention immediately when the quantities differed. It was never accepted. You cant argue against a takeoff done by a roofing supply/installation company that used computer software to measure.
Yes, there were areas on the home that was supposed to get metal. At the time the metal was ready to install I was contacted by the Builder to keep shingles on the area - that the McSwains wanted to have shingles, they were out of funds and could not put metal on at that time. This is also not true. You were notified of the incorrect material installed and you admitted to the mistake.
This was 2 1/2 years ago. To my understanding this home is still not finished. We were paid for services we did do & completed, by the Builder. You should probably go back and get into the details as it was not 2 1/2 years ago. You have not completed your work per pictures provided. There is trim missing you were paid to install correctly, all issues were brought to attention in fall of 2022. You could say the house isnt complete due to your lack of attention to detail or completing what is owed. I will be sharing the experience ive had on other platforms to give fair warning about the quality, craftsmanship and unethical business practice performed by RobCo, this will include all photos and communication.
I recommend Mr. ******** statement be erased. These issues are between ******* & Builder, NOT Robco
S&B(*****) made it very clear that they were not the problem the sub-contractors were the problem and issue.
Sincerely,

Date of transaction was 8/14/22, Amount I payed was $1,840, Robco Residential Inc had wrote in a proposal they will service repair sloped surface and flat roof, tear off down total flat part, needs Ice and water guard on total, replace all pipeboots and seal, install new 30 year shingles, make all necessary repairs to total roof. I called the office at (919) 894-9904 filing a complaint and there hasn’t been anything done. The person that came to fix my roof, ******* ******* send me multiple text messages stating “I am from Robco Residential Inc and you just got scam by another person, but Robco never did anything”. This is not true, the proposal indicated it was Robco Residential Inc with the address and phone number that shows on their website. I have evidence of the amount I paid and proposal. I also have proof that I had to hire another roof company to repair the damages due to Robco failing to repair my roof that caused damages on my dry wall and several leaks. I will like to file a complaint and get a refund for this matter. What they did to me was not ethical.Business Response

We have looked in to this complaint -
We did a proposal for a service - We have no recorded calls or email to perform the work - Our crews are only dispatched out through the office & no crews were dispatched -
We have never billed/Invoiced a job here. I am not sure what has happened here but we did ride out to see location - neighbors states 3 other Companies had been there -
work done was not the repair that we proposed - No recorded calls of any kind ; When customer did call us requesting refund & said she paid with credit card ; I do not have
any credit card payments from this person nor can our Company take credit cards except to call or come to Office - We advised her to call her credit card company and dispute the charge -
that should refund her money from whomever they paid until it was worked out ; that should have taken care of her complaint.
