      I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.

      the manager flat out refused to speak to me the night of the incident when I complained of the room we booked having no heat, and he has since refused to return any calls or emails. He is an embarrassment to the blowing rock community.

      Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. As a small, family-run business, we deeply value feedback and strive to create a positive experience for all our guests.
      We regret that your stay did not meet expectations, and we want to address the issues you've raised. Upon attempting to contact you by phone to discuss the situation directly, we unfortunately did not receive any responses, and we noted multiple 1-star reviews from various accounts on ****** regarding your stay (attached for reference). We are genuinely sorry if there was any misunderstanding during your visit.
      We understand you have also initiated a chargeback through your bank, which has already been debited from our account (see attached). However, the additional refund request youve made through BBB exceeds the amount you were charged for your stay (as seen in the attached folio).
      Regarding the room temperature issue, I personally went to check the temperature after you left, and it was measured at 87F. The room in question is approximately ******* sq. ft., and it was equipped with three heaters that are capable of heating a space of up to 500 sq. ft. While I'm not sure why the split unit was tampered with, we took immediate action to clear any dust to relieve your concern. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned in the five 1-star reviews left on *******
      As a small business, we take pride in treating all our guests with care and respect. However, the series of reviews do create a significant impact on small business, especially when false information is shared publicly. We kindly ask for a more constructive dialogue in situations like this to ensure we can resolve issues fairly and without further misunderstandings.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      The manager has never called me, nor have I received any emails or voicemails. I didnt ask for any money in this complaint from the bbb, so not sure what that means. As far as the room temperature goes, I feel this is a complete lie. The manager that night never called me while I was there, the gentlemen at the desk did come to the room and it said 60 on the central heater in the middle of the room. This is after the manager flat out refused to speak to us. I went to the front office multiple times, and the manager never showed up, nor came to speak to us. The desk person wouldnt even tell me the mangers name. The desk person said they had no way to physically call the manager, only able to contact him through email. What kind of family owned small business is this? (I asked the desk person what would happen if I had a heart attack in the lobby, and he said Id call 911 and then email the manager). Its funny how after countless calls and emails to this business, they only respond to a complaint with the bbb. I hope no one has to deal with this like we have. We dont request any additional compensation other than a full refund of the charges on our credit card, nothing more, nothing less.

      Major mildew problem in our hotel room and nothing was done about it or even addressed.
