I called Morrissey to ask about free wood chips (he was referred by a friend). Claude told me he would be happy to bring me a load of free chips, but then explained to me that the load would probably have some larger pieces of wood and possibly other materials in the chips. After we talked some more, I asked about clean chips and he gave me a very fair price. Much better than other companies we have used in the past for large loads of wood chips and mulch. He was also very responsive and delivered that afternoon to beat the rain (and not leave tire ruts in my property). We are very happy with the service and the quality of the material - very clean, full truck load of chips at a good price. Morrissey will be my first call for any tree and property services we need.

Wow, I've rarely had such bad customer service. I called these guys to come cut down some trees on my property and chip them up. I was initially satisfied with my giant pile of chips. That is until I started using them. As it turns out, they had left a bunch of giant logs in the middle of the pile. When I messaged the owner, just asking about why they were there, he called me and berated me for asking. He complained about how people are always calling him to complain about the logs he hides inside his piles. So I know I'm not the only one with this problem. He told me he's going to just start charging people for "clean" chips. And then he sent me lengthy text messages, criticizing me for having them out in the afternoon (which I did because I wanted my husband home for safety). He then made fun of me for staying up late playing Dungeons and Dragons... for some reason. The truth is, if he just hadn't lied to me about the chips, I would have been fine with it. If he'd just set the logs he couldn't chip aside, out of the pile, I would have understood. If he had politely explained that maybe his guys found some metal in the log and couldn't chip that piece when I politely texted him asking about it, I would be calling him to cut down my next tree that just fell down. But nope. He berated me for the actions of others, made fun of me, and then told me I need more God in my life... Yeah, me and the Lord are fine. I think I just need another tree removal company.
