On July 1st, 2023 I paid $269.10 for a Fundamentals Annual subscription for one year with vouchers for two different IT certifications through InterNetwork Expert (INE)/eLearnSecurity, who marketed a CyberSecurity Pen Test Student learning service through its INE *************************** with vouchers of exam attempts, with purpose of providing the customer with an opportunity to earn the Junior Penetration Tester certification offered after going through the learning path as a means of validation of a skill-set for use on professional resume. However, INE did not provide any notice before I signed up for a 1-year learning subscription with videos and labs to learn, with a goal of passing an IT certification exam, that the certification would only be valid for three years after obtaining it. On the marketing page for signup, there is no mention before paying for the product that the Junior Penetration Tester certification itself expires. I purchased the product on July 1st, 2023 and on September 6th, 2023 INE posted notice via LinkedIn and email that the terms were changing and the certification I paid to obtain would now expire.Once obtained, unless ongoing payment is made for another year of training and another exam taken, the IT certification expires after 3 years and does not let the buyer know that the competition of the certification would require ~$300 or higher depending on the cost on retake, every three years in perpetuity to keep the certificate - otherwise it is revoked and not recognized by INE. None of this was mentioned at signup and I only found out recently due to other customers negative reviews and confirmation by ***************** The merchant made absolutely no mention before signup that final product achieved with a certification is temporary in nature and has forced me to file this dispute.I am requesting a refund and closure and deletion of all my data and association with INE/eLearnSecurity.
