      We contracted with the North Carolina Catering Company on 10/12/22 for them to cater our wedding in *********, ** on October 8th, 2023. At that time we paid a deposit fee of $2048.67, with the remaining half to be paid at a later date. We were notified by our wedding planner on 9/20/23 that the wedding planner has been unable to get into contact with ** Catering Company, and that their phone line is no longer in service. When the company is ****** searched, it is also now listed as "Permanently Closed". We have had no further follow up from the catering company, and have no way of getting into contact with them. They have not contacted us in regards to terminating the contract, nor offered any refund of our deposit if they do plan on terminating the contract.

      Im contacting you about a company in ****** that is a scam. I am getting married October 7, 2023. I booked catering through a company called The North Carolina Catering Company. I had multiple email conversations and phone consultations with them. They had great reviews on the knot.com and weddinwire.com. I signed a contract through docusign and have copies of invoices. I paid 5 thousand dollars in full. Now, less than a month away from my wedding, this company has deleted all social media accounts, disconnected their phone and will not answer emails. After some research I find out that this is not the first time they have done this. They have scammed a multitude of people in the *************************** area. It is a complete nightmare. I did some more research and they do have an llc and legal representation. I called ***************************** who is supposedly the companies lawyer and have not gotten a call back. I then noticed the lawyers address listed is the same address as the company. This address is an empty parking lot. Its all so bizarre and disgusting that these people have been getting away with this. I want to whistle blow on them so this never happens to anyone else. I will attach photos of what Ive found.

      We hired the North Carolina Catering Company on Jan 3, 2023 to cater my son's wedding on 8/12/23 at the Pinehill Pavillion in ***********, **. I paid them $7,720.25 on 2/10/23 thru my A/E card for 125 people.We got our final count on 6/15/23 of 200 people. We tried contacting the ** Catering Company MANY times via phone, email and ******** instant messaging with no responses. All of their ******** posting stopped on 6/15/23. I checked their ****** reviews and saw that approx. 3-4 weeks ago people started to complain they were not showing up for appointments & not returning calls or emails. We continued to try to reach them with no success. On 7/10/23 i filed a dispute against the charge with ***************** I guess this got the attention of someone because i finally received a call yesterday from a woman named ***********She told me that i did not need to worry about anything. She said the company was still in business. I questioned the reviews on line & why we hadn't received any return phone calls or emails for over two *********** gave a very vague answer "their servers were down." I said that wouldn't effect their phones. I told her that our final count had changed and asked if they would be able to handle that to which she replied "Oh!" She seemed very inexperienced & i asked how long she had been working with the company and she said "1 week". I told her i was not comfortable with any of the recent events and wanted to speak with a manager. She said she would have a manager email me. I said i did not want to communicate thru email that i wanted to speak with a manager directly. She said she would have a manager call me. I said i expected a call by end of day and asked the name of the manager to which she replied "I don't know". I said "you don't know the name of your manager??" She stated they had staff changes. I still have not received a call & have called 3 more times with no response. I have 200 people coming to a wedding in one month & no food at this point
