1 starCusick is the management company for my community. Every quarter I send in my payment on the 1st or 2nd of the month it is due. It takes at least 10 to 15 days to post (risking incurring a late fee). I called about this and was told nothing could be done other than setting up a automatic debit with a "convenience fee". Totally unreasonable and unacceptable!!!Review fromGeorge G

1 starHas been an absolutely horrendous experience with Cusick, they ruin communities. Today their tattle take car called the police on me because my kid was playing on the back patio with her dog and all the windows and doors open but I wasn't "in the immediate area" because I'm working on my yard Then they blamed the neighbors, blocked me on social media, and ***** Cusick called me demanding I take the post and any negative comments toward them down.Review fromPauline B

In regards to Complaint no. ********, Cusick stated that Cusick did not enter into a contract with me or provide me with a product or service. A statement that is absent of fact, as noted by the payment booklet Cusick sent to me as the images below reflect. Cusick even gives their web address so that I can register at the Cusick site to make my monthly payment. Because Cusick is in fact handling my money, the question regarding the ****************** post is not only a logical one. So the question remains whose handling my money? How does Cusick vet their employee's? It appears that the employee in this article was a known felon. Does Cusick do background checks on employee candidates? After the incident below, what if any steps has Cusick taken to assure no other employee's have a criminal history?.. The following article referenced below is from the ******************. As a result of the article the question is: How does Cusick vet their employee's? It appears that the employee in this article was a known felon. Does Cusick do background checks on employee candidates? After the incident below, what if any steps has Cusick taken to assure no other employee's have a criminal history? WOMAN ARRESTED ACCUSED OF STEALING $90,000 ...******************** May 24, 2019 ***********************************, 31, was an employee at Cusick Community Management, the company says she stole $90000 from them.Cusick states that they did not enter into a contractual agreement with me or provide me with a product or service. Copies of the coupon payment slips sent directly to me by Cusick reflect Cusicks statement is false. DONT USE CUSICK AS DOCUMENT BY THE CHARLOTTE ******** THIS COMPANY HIRES KNOWN FELONS, DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY **************** IS CORRECT IN HER 8-30-22.Cusick Community Management, LLC

We did hire *********************************** from another local management company. She did commit fraud against one of our communities and we are the ones who found the fraud, brought it to the attention of the board and prosecuted her to the full extent of the law in spite of that process bringing us some unwanted publicity. We now do extensive background checks even on employees who come from other local management companies. In addition, after the incident we hired an accounting firm to evaluate our internal control processes and have incorporated all recommendations made to include additional safety measures to guard against this type of issue.Lastly, as no system is 100% fool proof we have always carried more than adequate insurance coverage.and the *** in question was made whole.Review fromMarcia N.

I have dealt with several management companies over the years as a Board member and a home or condo owner. NEVER have I interacted with a ***** less cooperative person than ********************* at Cusick Community Management. Rather than working with and welcoming inquires and suggestions, she either ignores you or quotes the law. This should not be a contentious relationship between the management company and the homeowners which by the way are the ones that pay Cusick management. Some of us (living in Ballantyne) are living in buildings that look like low income housing while board members buildings are quite attractive. There is a budget for landscaping and repairs that should be used equally among all buildings. In addition it has been brought to our attention that there is a need for a special assessment, part of which is to be used for landscaping of the buildings that should have been maintained through the budgeting process the same as the other buildings. We received a very threatening letter stating repairs will not be done unless we agree to the special assessment and our home values will be negatively affected. The homeowners do not have any regular meetings with the board so that in a fact our only recourse is to deal with Cusick management who is very rude and unresponsive. Several of us with strong financial backgrounds and board experience have requested to look at the books as is the right of any homeowner. Rather than being cooperative, ********************* has made it very difficult for us to do this making us jump through unnecessary hoops and incurring personal legal expense. This uncooperative attitude by Cusick Management and the fact that we are in perilous financial condition and knowing that ****** had an employee that embezzled $90,000 concerns many of us unit owners and makes us question if there are strong internal controls in place to safeguard our money. ************************* ************************Cusick Community Management, LLC

My name is ***** Cusick, owner and President of a company that I have been at the helm of for nearly 27 years. I feel compelled to personally reply to the derogatory and unfavorable review you posted as it is these kind of reviews that hurt good businesses and all the wonderful people who work for them.First of all, we have just taken over your account from a previous management company and are in the process of trying to fix many of the issues we inherited. Second of all, no one and I mean NO ONE in this company would be rude or contentious on purpose as our company goal is to be just the opposite. In regard to the manager you referenced, she has been an employee here for several years and yours is the first complaint we have ever received on her. We have had accounts that have stayed with us for over ********************** if we were purposely rude and contentious those accounts would have jumped ship long ago.Your *** is short of funds, which is no reflection of anything Cusick has done in the few short months we have been with you. The truth is that you are in need of a special assessment. Those special assessment letters are not rude nor threating but designed by your ***** to allow residents to clearly see the need for more funding to support your ***. I am sorry you do not agree with the special assessment but it is your choice to vote no when the vote is taken. As for your statement about my company being embezzled, I suggest before you potentially liable yourself that you look into the facts. Cusick funds were never embezzled, rather we found that a rouge manager was submitting improper invoices for approval to one of their *****s. It is Cusick who found the issue, reported it to the board, and at a great expense to our reputation, we prosecuted the individual manager to the full extent of the law and the *** was paid back in full. Most businesses would have not prosecuted to keep the matter private but we had nothing to hide and subsequently felt we needed to do the right thingBefore you slander a companys reputation please confirm your facts. Cusick has partnered with your ***** of ********* to work very hard and diligently to make your *** healthy and prosperous. We are a professional company with a reputation we are proud of. Our internal accounting processes have been vetted over and over again and for you to suggest otherwise is frankly hurtful and not true. No one , not even Fortune ****************************************************************************** our power to alleviate any potential risk.As far as you wanting to review records, let me clarify for you. You wanted your prior records from your previous management company which should have been shared with you every monthso in order to provide you with your prior management companies financials the ***s legal counsel had to make that decision and remove any privilege information since Cusick had no part in preparing them. Going forward, Cusick provides financials to the members each month as well as posts them on line so we encourage residents to go on the website to review them. I am sorry you are so disappointed by our firm and your current *****, however, we are both doing our level best to work as hard as we can for your *** and maybe you could support them and us as we move forwardCaryn CusickReview fromDrew M.

As a homeowner, former HOA Board member, and experience with many property management companies over the years, I have to post this out. DO NOT USE CUSICK PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. They are, by far, the worst one I have ever had to deal with! They are amazingly rude, super unorganized, non-responsive to members and homeowners. No matter how much less they quote you, do not use them. They serve little to no purpose and cannot handle the simplest of tasks. Did I mention how terribly rude all their employees are, including the manager?!Cusick Community Management, LLC

Dear ****************:I am frankly astounded at your horrible review of our company and I have to say we have never really received such a stinging review of our services We are, exactly the opposite of everything you have stated.I personally wanted to review why you felt you needed to review us so poorly and unfortunately I cannot find your name anywhere in our database as being one of the homeowner's we service. I went a step further and had our customer service department do a review of our entire computer system and we cannot find your e-mail anywhere indicating you have dealt with anyone in our company. If you would kindly forward to me personally the details of your dissatisfaction, the community in which you live, and the name we should have in our database, I can promise you I will do a thorough investigation of your complaint.Perhaps, you have only dealt with one of our managers in which case I would like to know who so I can, again, research your issue.Warmly,***** Cusick President **********************
