      COMPLAINT: Unacceptable customer service received at Truist Bank, 2627 Creighton Rd, Pensacola, FL 32504, where I previously held personal checking and money market accounts. Both accounts have since been closed due to the incident below.

      May 1, 2025: I called the branch three times (2:06, 2:08, and 2:15 PM) to ask what documentation was needed to open a business checking account. All calls went to voicemail, and none were returned.
      I then called Truist’s main number (844-4TRUIST). After a lengthy wait and multiple prompts, I reached a representative who couldn’t answer my question. I was placed on hold for another 25 minutes before finally speaking to a supervisor. She listed the required documents and reassured me – twice - that I could walk into the branch before 5:00 PM without an appointment.

      4:03 PM: While en route on a 13-mile drive, my adult daughter called the branch and was told (via automated message) that it was closed, despite posted hours showing they were open until 5:00 PM.

      4:06 PM: We arrived. Three tellers were chatting while one banker was with a customer. I was told to wait. After the only customer left, I saw a teller call the banker, who ignored the call and kept typing. A teller then told me I’d need an appointment because “opening a business account takes a very long time.” I explained what the Truist supervisor had told me and how far I had driven, but she raised her voice and repeated I had to come back with an appointment.

      4:15 PM: The banker emerged and said the same. When I asked who the manager was, he said, “I am,” then refused to give a supervisor’s name - even with 45 minutes left before closing and no customers in sight.

      NEVER AGAIN:
      – Unreturned calls and inaccessible staff
      – False information from a Truist supervisor
      – Rude, dismissive branch behavior
      – No accountability or follow-up from management
      No customer should have to go through this to perform basic banking.

      Truist has been extremely deceptive AGAIN by not adjusting our mortgage payment and Also Raising it by $65.04/monthly, when in FACT our payment should be only raised by $27.41/ property taxes. You take $339/12 (months), but instead Truist Mortgage chose to raise it $60.04 plus not change the additional homeowners insurance from 2024 when they had to receive $105 (They divided by 12 months and amazingly they got that amount right but haven't stopped it after the 12 months.). They bullied us into paying an extra $60.04 with our Mortgage payment for June *** We demand that they adjust it correctly to an additional $27. A month to cover the new property tax increase!!!!

      Very very sketchy i believe they are stealing information this is my second attempt applying and only because I saw no a location near my home and this is the second time that I received no response only vague emails that bring you to an invalid type of confirmation on the status of your loan no phone call but they do store your information so I believe it is its just a scam institution and beware do not give all your information

      Holding a deposit too long when your own bank has cleared the check and it doesnt appears in the account for 10 days! No the amount was not a large amount either. When you are trying to help a cancer patient and they still do not care! Glad it is not my bank!

      Absolutely the Worst Banking Experience Stay Away from Truist for everything, banking, loans, credit cards, etc.Truist Bank is by far the worst financial institution Ive ever dealt with. They misplaced my funds, refused to take accountability, and outright denied returning MY money. This wasnt a minor errorit was my money, and they acted like it didnt matter.The customer **********************? Completely useless. No urgency, no empathy, no resolution. Every time I reached out, I got the runaround or some generic excuse.If you value your hard-earned money and expect basic competence from a bank, do yourself a favor and stay far away from Truist. Theyve proven they cant be trusted with even the most fundamental banking responsibilities.

      Theyre def not perfect. But atleast for me, when they made me mistakes or I had issues the phone service people was very nice and helpful. If you open a new account; make sure to start with direct deposit or cash your check before putting it in. They have a long hold time for paper checks with new accounts. Other than that. Their banking interface is intuitive. Easy to use.

      More complaint to the ***** I ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO HAS ISSUES WITH TRUIST TO DO THE SAME I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding my recent experience with Truist Bank. The actions taken by Truist personnel not only undermine trust but also appear retaliatory, unprofessional, and potentially violate banking regulations and consumer protection laws. As such, I am preparing formal complaints with the Consumer Financial ***************** (****), the *********************, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), among others.I opened a small business checking account and a money market checking account at ************************** money market account was opened to house excess business funds due to the initially attractive ***. Without notice or formal change of terms, Truist materially lowered the ****** response, I moved the majority of the funds to another institution with a competitive ***.Following my transfer of funds, a Truist representative contacted me and assured me that he could restore the *** and reverse any fees; however, no such action was taken.Instead, Truist began charging monthly service fees on the money market account, resulting solely from the *** bait-and-switch and my removal of funds.Upon noticing these fees, I consolidated the remaining funds into my checking account to prevent further charges.The representative contacted me, insisting I come into a branch office to close the account. When I requested that he either (1) address the accumulated fees or (2) close the account immediately, he refused, stating closure required an in-person visit.Despite this, he subsequently closed my account without my consent and sent it into collections, an act that appears retaliatory because Truist could no longer collect fees.If Truist is unwilling to remedy this matter promptly and appropriately, I will be forced to proceed with full complaints to the ****, ***, *********************, and my state's Attorney General.

      ABSOLUTELY THE WORST BANK EVER!!! All will get doing your nightmares is were sorry! YES!! , you are that!! After calling to take care of my monthly car payment which is ALWAYS paid on time a mistake was made based on there computer system error and 2 payments ******** I called and got a representative who told me to not worry that they will not go thru and they were stopped/cancelled and so she runs the one car payment. The next time I look at my checking account 3 payments are GONE!!! So Im left NOTHING and got other bills, no food or gas to anything to survive. You think no big deal they can put it back?? WRONG!! I was told it would be 9 to 20 working days before they put back in my account. YES, YOU ARE HEARING THIS CORRECT!! So I demand to speak to supervisor and received more garbage concern and apologies which was followed the same stupid response. 9-20 days! I told them absolutely not! And I needed this back in my account today and wanted to speak to the next supervisor!! SAME CRAP!! WE ARE SORRY! They could care a less!! So now Im taking a day off work and going to walk in a branch and Im seeing a bank manager tomorrow but it will fall on deaf ears and nothing will be done. IF YOU BANK WITH TRUIST!! YOU BETTER GET OUT FAST !! THEY ARE COMPLETE GARBAGE!! Thats an understatement!!

      That reply is terrible. Its a submission of a *************. I spent countless calls with those numbers. Last conversation this bank had with me. They were gonna call me back!! They havent reached out to me and they have not given 1 ***** of the money back! They dont care!! This bank will be another crash and burn. So long as they can do things like this, somebody is making money of the backs of the Americans who have fallen victim to such garbage banking. Such a generic reply! For ME to call them. Yeah right!! Yall have so many 1000s of complaints they dont even make a legit attempt to correct or even defend themselves! They know they are wrong! Shame on any who are apart such corruption! They are on the verge of criminal charges operating like they are and when it crashes

      I opened an account with Truist in my college town and attempted to cash a check from the courthouse in the same town. The check cleared and the money became available in my app. A few days later when I received my Truist bank card I attempted to take money out of the *** and found on the account was frozen. The teller told me that the check I cashed was under investigation for fraud and it would take 30 days to resolve. A week later in my hometown I went to Truist bank for help. The teller called the fraud hotline for me but said she couldn't understand them or find out any information for me. There wasn't anything she could do to help I was told. I called the courthouse in front of her and spoke to the person who originally wrote the check in question and he verified the authenticity. The teller said the only thing she could do would be to add that in the notes. 3 weeks later I again went to the bank and was told my account was permanently closed. I now have to wait for them to mail a check to me. I have been unable to touch my money now for over a month for something that was not fraud. I received no help from either bank to resolve my matter. I would never recommend doing business with this bank.
