      2 years ago I had work done on my Jet Ski, but the work was done incorrectly and they admittedly stated that they messed up and had to buy my jet ski back. In December 2023, I had dropped my boat off to have some work done. The motor was blown due to being incorrectly winterized which the service was done by South Town. I did not use the boat the summer of 2023 due to having a back surgery. South Town still has my boat and is refusing to answer my calls or respond to text messages. The boat is complete and they are threatening charging me storage fees, but I am unable to pick up my boat due to lack of communication. I have documentation text messages and phone logs showing that I have attempted contact unsuccessfully.

      Mr. ***** did in fact bring his boat in for an engine repair several months ago.  Due to multiple staffing and parts ordering issues, it took an excessive amount of time to complete the repairs.  Repairs have been done since the end of August 2024. Customer was notified of completion and then failed to contact us back.  After several attempts, I finally put some pressure on Mr. ***** to pay and pick.  At that time, he indicated he didn't have the money to pay for it.  He has lately been saying he has been calling us but we have not record of it on our recorded lines.  He has texted on our sales texting app but does not take our calls and has not returned our calls to our knowledge.  

      All of the above is documented in the attachments.

      We are willing to offer a settlement for him to pay and pick up in a reasonable amount of time.  This would be 2 weeks from today.

      We will communicate the same info to Mr. ***** and let him decide to pick up.

      I am rejecting this response because: The information is not correct. I stated that payments would have to be arranged going by the text messages. You could see where I have tried calling and sending multiple messages for somebody to say they havent received any of them. I screen to messages and sent it back to with no response and note no comment was made buying my ****** back for me after making me wait a year for it just like the boat. It took nine months and I also called multiple shops and they said with a one month period. They would have it completed. There was no rush on that boat from December 30 of 2023 I went to pick up the boat because it was taking so long. The motor is pulled out after to remove the motor. They stated they could not get the motor because there is still tools in the bed of  boat. I made effort to pick it up, but it would not get released to me because of it being separated. Nine months is kind of ridiculous to replace a motor. Ive had one of my watercraft winterize through the company the previous year. I did not take it out because I had back surgery so the boat was never touched. It sat there for a whole season the following season, I tried to take it out and a motor was blown That it was not winterized correctly After speaking with him, they said they had multiple boats Due to winterization issues. Stated I would receive a phone call at 5 oclock today which I called twice one before 5 mins before 5 and one after five and sent a text message and a snap of the phone record it will not let me upload multiple pictures of the screenshots of our messages messages.

      We reached an agreement with Mr. ***** for him to pay a reduced amount of $6500.00.  Mr. ***** stated he was satisfied with that settlement.  He paid his portion of the bill and picked up the boat 2 weeks ago.  

      We consider this matter closed and satisfied at this point.  We are hoping Mr. ***** would say the same.

      Have yet to be paid the money due when trading boat in, has been almost 3 months fighting , 4 weeks after ****** said a check would be mailed out. No communication and lies every step of the way.

      Dear BBB,
      I am writing with regard to the recent complaint about the refund on a recent transaction.  I understand that the length of time in investigating and resolving this issue took longer than hoped, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

      I would like to shed some light on a couple of items that made this investigation a little more complicated than usual and led to the delay of the refund.  One of those items was the inconsistency of payoff information and the actual payoff due to the bank for the traded boat.  Another item was an auto-drafted payment coming out simultaneously with the payoff check we sent to the bank. Both of these items caused a longer delay than usual.

      After concluding and agreeing to a refund amount, we attempted to deliver a check to the customers home address, however, *** was unable to locate the address and returned the check to us.

      Our sales manager and the customer agreed a check for $900 that will be ready and available for pickup at the store.  This refund of $900 will fully resolve this issue.

      We appreciate your patience and understanding.
