      The Director of this program, *************************, charged me today (9/23/22) for the *** afterschool program, after stating that 9/16/22 would be the last time I would be charged, being that I removed my child from the program on 9/2/22 and he has not attended since. I removed my Kindergartener from the program after only about 2 and a half weeks because she contacted me several times for minor instances that should have been managed by the "highly trained" staff at the program. ******* contacted me with an attitude and a loud tone of voice and even made a personal attack on me verbally. I am a single, working mom and this has caused extreme stress, anxiety and frustration for me. I have to be the mother and the father for my child and I do discipline him and work with him as much as I can at home. I do my best to teach him proper behavior but he is a 5 year old at the end of the day. I truly feel that he was being ostracized and labeled in this program. It's like she was trying to get him out of the program instead of working with him. Some people do not need to work with kids. *******'s lack of professionalism has brought me nothing but distress that I am still dealing with it since I got charged AGAIN. I cannot afford to be charged for a program that I am not involved in. I would recommend that people stay away from this program unless you want to deal with a constant struggle. I hope this issue will be resolved quickly. Hopefully no other parents have to deal with what I have been through.

      Once we received the email regarding the payment we immediately made the refund. The reason the parent was charged was we have a two week period in which if you pull your child out without proper notice they still owe for the two weeks. This parent knows this and it was explained in our policy and signed off on by the parent. The payments are on auto debit and the time we canceled the account the payment was already cued up. This parent who was happy with everything until she was alerted her child used profanity in front of a  a cafeteria full of students We sent her a referral based on the behavior and she was not happy at all about it. She has taken this to a personal level and I am sure she has gotten her money refunded back to her. I have sent emails to her that explained everything and I record of that as well. This was an issue that could have been solved had she just given the bank time to post the money. This parent is making it a personal one and is setting out to try and tarnish my business based on a report of repeated behavior. I have no personal reason to do anything to cause distress and I am sorry if getting a report of her child misbehaving is causing her so much despair. We pride ourselves in the work we do. We always have as this is not our first company. I do not think it is fair for a person to be able to just make a complaint when everything I have shows she is being malicious with intent.  This is not the only and first time she has gotten such reports as she shared her son could not even attend field trios without her at a previous program. I tried to partner with her to work on behavior. She chose to remove him and I respect her decision. What I can't respect is her taking it to levels like this.
