In April of 2023 we bought a home in ******** ** build by Jeff Davies Services that was build in 2022, the home seemed very good and beautiful, we had some issues like leaks, foundation structure issues, that were addressed by builder. On 12/18/2023, one of the large windows shattered for no apparent reason, Ive tried to get in contact with **** Davies Sevices by phone, left voicemails and texts that werent answered, Im just trying to understand why this happened on a home that was just built a year ago.

The home is no longer under warranty through my company as we have a 1 year warranty and it is past the warranty period. A third party warranty was given to the homeowner that extended past our initial warranty period. If he has concerns about a potential warranty issue

he should reach out to the third party company. Furthermore glass windows (shattering) are not covered under any warranty that I am aware of, especially almost 2 years later . The owner keeps a large German Shepard in the room that he said the window shattered, so If I had to guess, I would say that the dog had been jumping against the glass window as the window is only 18" above the floor and eventually broke the glass. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Best regards,

I am rejecting this response because:
I reached out to the builder (**** Davies) several times and left voicemail messages, non up until this day were responded, I just wanted to know if the window manufacturer he used would be able to assist with the window repair, but since I didnt hear back I made the decision to go this route. It is nonsense to assume that a dog was the cause of this issue, to the contrary, the door remains closed so the dog doesnt go into the room, but this accusation doesnt surprise me, because since I moved in to the house (April 2023) every time I submitted something wrong with the house it was always blaming game (previous owner) fault or something else other than the way it was built. Again, I usually dont make it a big deal but the window is an expense that no new owner should have to deal with on a house that was built only a year and 7 months ago (built year and month May 2022). I did first try reaching out to the outsourced warranty company as I usually done in the past, but I was advised to reach out to the builder first, which I did, but since I never got a response here we are.
