I'm selling my house in ****** and a home inspector reported that the airflow was low. Andersen replaced my a/c unit last June, so I called them to check out the airflow. ****** came out, went in the attic, and informed me that the existing zoning system (electronic damper system) has to be replaced. The estimate was for $3700 but I was a little skeptical of this. He removed the two filters that were filthy but said that had nothing to do with the poor airflow. Well upon further research, and getting another HVAC contractor's inspection, it was the dirty filters that was causing the poor airflow. Why the home inspector didn't see that is another story. The filters were replaced, and the airflow is now perfect! So, buyer beware...Andersen was going to rip me off for $3700 when two $6 filters were all that was needed.

********************, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We take all feedback and comments very seriously at Andersen. After reviewing your file it appears you called into Andersen Heating and Cooling stating that your home had been inspected for the sell of your home and that the zoning needed to be repaired. These notes taken by our CSR team were communicated to **************. ************** went into the home to provide guidance on your zoning per your request. The technician did find that the filters were dirty and he removed them for you. The technician also addressed your zoning concerns and inspector concerns that you had expressed at the initial point of making the appointment. While your filters will affect airflow if not properly changed or cleaned, so will your zoning if it is not working properly.
