I had a new unit installed by Sky HVAC in April 2023. Call Dad purchased Sky shortly thereafter. This Spring, the 2-year old unit, still under warranty, wasnt blowing cold air. Tech came to find low pressure in the system and charged me $90 for the service call and quoted me $900 to pressure test. Another tech came two days later to run the pressure check. Found that the leak was in the coil (the warrantied coil). He quoted me just under $2000 to replace the warrantied coil! Needless to say, Ill be contacting a different ************ that is reputable and fair to do the warrantied replacement. I would not recommend Call Dad. They are slick and well organized with their website and wrapped trucks all over town but they take advantage of customers with predatory pricing. It seems to be a case of corporate greed. Stay away! Even if the initial installation seems competitive. They will ***** you on service contracts or repairs after the sale.

First impression of this company was so good. We bought a house whose sellers paid this company to install a secondary HVAC unit at the end of March, this year. In July renters moved into the house. By mid July both units were locking up. The tenants found the drain pans on both units full. this began our relationship with Call Dad.The good:1. Super responsive 2. Fast dispatch of ********** 3. At first, really great communication The bad: 1. Initial ********** told us the upper unit was installed without a drain line - this was a warranty repair they d have to do (not prepared to solution on initial visit)2. The out of warranty unit was diagnosed as a motor burn out due to an old, jammed up filter having burned out the fan by the first ********** 3. We were told both repairs could happen next day, the drain and pump were installed to the warranties unit 4. Second ********** dispatched to do the repairs 2 days later - unwarranted unit according to him now needed a control board, not a motor - this was apparently installed on this visit 5. 2 weeks later both units stopped working again and had full drain pans, again.Ultimately we were told the unwarranted unit repair was a cracked drain pan which was more expensive than replacement, this after $810 useless repair. For the warrantied unit they blamed the c*** install on the previous owners (they took the job as described, thats on them). I escalated to ******, a manager, i was told wed get a refund on the useless repair the day after i talked to him. Apparently that offer of refund was only going to happen if we bought a new unit from them. We opted to seek alternate opinions and its been crickets from these folks ever since i canceled the sales call.Ultimately, they seem to have great initial response and super friendly people but professionalism and quality of work make working with them an expensive mistake. The refund would have left professionalism intact, sadly they dont seem to care.

Id give it 0 stars if I could for these scam artists. I needed them to come out and look at my outdoor ac unit because it quit working in 90 degree weather. They arrived a DAY late! We were furious we had to spend another day in that heat. The tech said it was a bad capacitor. I was expecting a cost of 50 dollars for parts plus labor. They wanted to charge me 650 DOLLARS!!! Of course they wont just replace the part, no, they have to use their turbo charged, proprietary model with a 5 year warranty. I found one on Amazon for 20 dollars and had it replaced in 10 minutes. Do not throw your money away with these price gouging scum bags! They want to take advantage of people who dont know any better.

What a rip off! I despise companies that will flat out lie. I have been paying monthly maintenance fees to them for more than 5 years and have never had them do anything but spring and fall checks. Last night my ac went crazy and I called their 24/7 help line. When I got the maintenance plan they told me they were available 24/7, and thats just not true. For an hour I tried to get them to come out and fix it but was told over and over that the earliest they could come would be sometime today. This is not at all what I was told or agreed to when we started this business relationship. I urge anyone looking at this company for service to look elsewhere. As with so many, its all about the money with no care for the humans involved or the lies they have to tell to get your money. If I could give zero stars I would. Just a big fail.

"CALL DAD" HVAC COMPANY, is a quality and caring company, who meets all the needs of it's clients/ customers, and does an excellent job while doing so. Your Employee ," ************************", came over to my house, after my installation of my HVAC SYSTEM, was completed, and went over the steps of how to work the new thermostat system. ****** was very polite, patient, and even helped me to set up a program that would meet all my heating and cooling wants, and would also help to keep my bills down, and be more energy efficient! This company has excellent ***************** and all their employees seem to care and want the best for their clients! I give " Call Dad" a five Star rating!!!

I paid for initial diagnosis for ** in very hot temperature. The tech stated that unit needs a Compressor and Motor for over $7,000+. I had done another diagnosis with a Healthy Home Heating a competitor a few days before and was just getting a second opinion as I had used Sky HVAC before. The competitor Healthy Home Heating stated that unit needs fan, motor, and other ancillaries that cost about $2000+, but no mention of compressor. After first diagnosis I purchased some portable ac units. I then called a Handyman ***** who has been in the ** business for decades. He came and tested each of the items that these two entities said need replacing and only the Motor was bad. He replaced the motor for $600 and my unit has been working just fine like before. I was spared the $7000+ or the $2000+ unnecessary repairs which I would not have known was false if I had went ahead.I used SKY before but different technicians who seem reasonable, and honest. Fortunately I have their estimates in writing so there is no dispute what they told me was needed. I have proof of what I did to get ** working and they are vastly different and I saved a whole lot. These estimates were deceptive and trying to exploit excessive heat. I am blessed and can afford but just imagine those who would need to take a loan from their 401(k) or their kids school fees.

Sky sent a technician to diagnose ************** system on August 18th. Our findings were as stated in the complaint. *** placed a follow up call two days later on the 21st to check on the service provided, and ************** advised that *** was a wonderful technician and would give us a 20 out of 10 on the service. No further communication has been made with us regarding any complaint of service. Given the opportunity, we would have loved to return to address any concerns ************** had about the diagnosis and send a supervisor. However, we were not advised of any issue. It would never be our intention to purposefully misguide or misdiagnose a system. We have refunded ************** diagnostic of $89 + tax ($95.45) to the card that was used for payment. This will show on his account in 5-7 business days. We regret ************** feels as if we purposefully inflated repairs.

SKY *** has been wonderful from the beginning. I had a failing HVAC system here in *********. SKY was the third company I had out to check the system, and ultimately chose the company to replace the system. ****** was the first technician, who was professional and knowledgeable. ****** was sent in after the system was not responding after the first service. The guru of HVAC, I trusted him completely. The crew that installed the system last Friday were professional, friendly and quick. It has been so nice ever since! I am beyond satisfied with their service! Thank you so very much!

We Love These Guys! We've had a maintenance contract with Sky (formerly Climate Control) for 5 years now. They are always courteous, professional, on time & do great work for a great price. They maintain our large *********** Split. They also installed our Mini Split - which we Love!Yesterday, ****** came out and surprised me with a free cleaning of our mini split. I thought we were going to have to pay $500 for the cleaning but Hunter informed me it was included in our maintenance contract! Who doesn't need an extra $500 right now. Very Nice Surprise! If you are looking for someone to maintain your heat & air; you really can't beat Sky.Thanks Hunter - and ***! Great Work!
